Guitar in key of A minor. The harmonica is a G harp, played in 3rd position. This is a complete improvisation and the harp and the guitar don't always know what the other is doing. This makes for exciting moments!

I took your Harmonica class in California (I think UCLA) community services class. You were great. I learned so much from you. This was in the late 80s I believe. I'm still enjoying playing the harp today. Your an excellent teacher....thanks.

I'm so glad I found this, Jon. Didn't know about the hand troubles, but never would have guessed from your sweet playing here. Never to old for sure.

I bought your book with the little cave - boy on the cover many years ago. It unlocked a bunch of harmonica “secrets” for me. I have been playing ever since, and have learned a little guitar too, cause I got tired of asking guitar players if they would play with me. So thanks man, thanks a lot. This is one of the chief joys in my life.

A couple years ago I was on vacay in the Florida Panhandle, and picked up that same book, used. As a decent guitarist and keyboardist, I’d always wanted to play blues harp. The book inspired me to get an harmonica, and using Gindick’s book as a guide, I’ve been playing for over a year. Getting okay at it, but still have a lot to learn.

Considering your previous medical condition, your break-out solo jam session with the guitar & harmonica combo is really inspiring. You seem pretty gung-ho . Keep on jamming & God Bless. From: An Air Force Vet harmonicatist.
