Dude, great video! Ive been playing with an Easttop T008K and a Kongsheng amazing 20 for a while and was thinking of getting a Hohner Crossover next, this one sounds great. I might get a G key.

I play the "nitro" hohner Rocket Amps lol the Rockets are "turbo" and the "stocks" are the Special 20s.

Cool video. Love the Crossover Harp. Next time check out the new Manji Sky. The reeds are thinner so it's very easy to bend notes. They're great.

Wow what a great question! I know very little about Harmonica customization but if the reeds aren't gapped well enough meaning there is a lot of space between the reeds and the space below it I will just make the gap tighter. There are a lot more educated people on here that know a lot more than me so please take my words with a grain of salt😂 But great question!

Nice vid man, what’s your opinion on rockets vs crossovers. I wanna upgrade a few of my sp20’s. Do you think there’s much of a difference or is it just the combs and cover plates?

The Crossover is more expensive but it also plays better in my opinion. One big advantage is that the comb doesn't stick out on the Crossover like the Rocket which means you are closer to the reeds which means quicker response time cleaner bending and overall less air needed. The Rocket to me is just a special 20 with different covers and comb like you said but the rocket is still fun! I'd say if you want to make a real legit upgrade go for the Crossover or even Marine Band Deluxe for a cheaper option.

For my poorest friends: bend rhe back of the 1896, file the combs , varnish them… it becomes almost a Crossovers.
