After sailing over 3000 nautical miles, Nandji 2 arrived into the island nation of Mauritius with the best greeting a dad could have ever asked for.
After being at sea for 20 days, the beautiful sight of our Bonita and Tallula on the dock, waiting for our arrival was precious. After being apart for over one month, the joy of returning to family made me shed a little tear.
Our clearance into Mauritius however was not as pleasant. Our vessel was throughly searched for an hour by customs and Despite having the required documents for Marley to enter, unfortunately we had an issue with the Vetinary officer who decided before inspecting our documents there was a problem.
Nandji 2 therefore could not leave the city harbour and we were forced to move to the concrete dock on the other side of the port whilst we continued to try and work with the agriculture department for Marley’s clearance.
With many things to repair onboard after a gruelling ocean passage, for now, we say goodbye to the crew and get busy instantly preparing for the onwards journey out of Mauritius.
Not quite what we expected after such a long time at sea….

4:32 you need one of those irrigation pipes! I lived on a ranch in West Texas growing up and we had irrigation ditches where the water ran and we had to start the pipes to the rows of pipes , but once you get it going there’s no more labor until all the “fluid” is on the other side , like in your case of siphoning it to another tape. There’s probably a utube video on it.

Yes, he had all the required vaccinations and blood work to enter, unfortunately got the wrong person on the wrong day. It was very stressful but glad we were able to move on quickly. Lots of hiking for Marley coming up!

Must ad, the hotels and beaches in Mauritius are amazing. West side best. Try for a day tour to Paradis hotel and Brabant hotel where the beach is amazing protected by a coral reef, great for your daughter to swim shallow for miles etc. Also La Chaland near the Airport, St Geran, LA Pirogue, Traux Biche, Club Med, and many more....... Just saying

Maybe check the process for Marley into South Africa as well ,we have Rabbies,foot and mouth and Corruption Deluxe ,fleas and ticks is a major problem in the Durban area and down the coast to Cape Town ,regulations here for animals not always very clear .

Yosh, they do make a small pump that runs on the end of an electric drill for emptying hot water tanks, amongst other things, they are small and easy to store, and save a lot of time on jobs like emptying a tank

Sounds like he was fishing for a bribe . To get rid of the diesel smell from whatever you spilt , use Pine sol . Also you should pour the fuel through a strainer as you put it back

Awesome to see the family back together 👍 It sucks about all the trouble with your dog 🐕 I totally understand about bio security! And why it's in place! My opinion is, it's all BS Many breeds of birds fly all over the world! Could they not bring in certain grubs/whatever 🤔 to different places? Let's not forget about planes!! Do the go through a bio security in-between flights ✈️ What about the hulls of boats? Can certain creatures move about on the hulls, that aren't native to that area 🤔 But a random dog that has bin fully checked ✔️ and looked after can't take a walk on land! But can be within a few inches of dry land is totally stupid in my opinion 🙄 Humans are much worse than what an animal could ever be 🍻😉 Rant over 😂 peace to all.. Love and cherish every moment ❤️

He is self employed, but what he is selling is his personality, and for us to look at him. I remember in Atticus' old closing they had a list of what they needed to do to make the channel better. One thing on their list was "be more attractive." Yosh was getting kind of hard to look at some times.

You have just done the practical for an "Ocean Masters" all you now have to do is write the theory exam. You would then be one of the highest "qualified" sailors on KZbin... Just saying. You can write it in South Africa.

@@FrothLyfeSailingNandji. You can write the exam at a yachting academy in Durban ot Capetown. You would have to buy a few books in SARand it will be cheap. The Ocean Masters course from SA Durban they sail to Mauritius. There is a very reputable Yachting Academy in Cape Town right in the marina at the Royal Cape Yacht Club. Google them or ask the Royal Cape Yacht Club in Capetown for their contact info. If I find it will send to you. I will also ask them for info for you. Kevin. I have a Canvas Shop in Plettenberg Bay 140km south of JBay.
