Upon arriving to any country it is always the boats the first thing you see to realise you are in a new culture. Heading to land and seeing the animals is the next crazy realisation you are somewhere unique!
We get to swim with the biggest and oldest wild turtles we have ever seen. Green sea turtles are herbivores and mainly feast on sea grass which is why they frequent this area of Madagascar. They can live for as long as 100 years and have been around since the dinosaurs! Sadly They now face further existential threats that have seen their numbers drastically reduced and to be at risk of extinction.
Lemurs. What an animal these little creatures are! Madagascar has over 110 species of Lemurs that are all endemic to the country. Coming from Asia where we were always cautious of monkeys and their aggressive behaviour, Lemurs are the exact opposite. They are gentle, friendly and really are unfazed by us humans if you don’t provoke them.
Madagascar. You are something else.

Guys, OMG this is one of you best videos ever of the wildlife, all of it, but especially the turtles!!! The GoPros or whatever you used did a fine job and the videography was top notch pro level. I've been in a similar situation with camera requirement in a pretty remote place that I was there on business. Camera shops were pointless but I started cold calling professional photographers and very quickly found a decent second hand camera body.

There are large cities in Madagascar and one of the largest is Antananarivo (the capital) . I realize your dealing with a language problem but, I'm sure there are large camera stores with reasonable prices there. Getting something shipped should be fast I would think. I'm not sure shipping would cross to Nose Be quickly though. I'm only seeing little towns on Nose Be (assuming your still there) .

Over in the Atlantic they track some of the big turtles. I believe I saw one listed as over 600 pounds on that list. Showed right where it was also. I'm not sure why they do not track them with that same program in the Pacific, unless I wss just not looking at it correctly.
