Not Your Average Crop Tour (with Jenny)

Hop on in with us in the 1978 Chevy Scottsdale as we tear across the countryside!
There is nothing quite like going for a country cruise in the summer with family, and today, Jenny and I have a date checking out the crops. Overall, it's been very dry this year, and we have barely been able to get by with the amount of rain we have had.

We're a sugar beet farmin’ family in the Red River Valley of North Dakota!
Our farm specializes in growing sugar beets, hard red spring wheat, sunflowers, corn, soybeans, and various types of dry edible beans. The legacy currently consists of my dad, my uncle, my two older brothers, and I (Beet Farmin Mitch).
I am a 6th generation family farmer recently graduating with college degrees in both Agricultural Economics and Crop and Weed Sciences. Enjoy as I showcase our operations everyday work, grow as a young farmer, be a goofball, and walk out the most important thing to me. My love for King Jesus!
My hope is that you may be entertained and spurred on to grow in your passion and knowledge for all things agriculture!

Loved the video. Thank you for the knowledge and explaining about farming and different crops. Sometimes it feels like most farm-tubers are focussed on entertainment rather than explaining the part they do which is farming so appreciate it! Loved Jenny's face of regret after eating the bean. Ah, ah! Those Americans with their sugary drinks, we in France use them just to loosen the bolts. In summer, we drink pastis (aniseed) on the rocks, chilled rosé wine with meals, and beer between meals..🍸 🍷🍻

What a great video!!! Nothin' like cruisin' with a classic truck and a classy lady. Jenny looks sassy and sounds sassy enough to keep you in line Mitch. I would have thought for sure, when Jenny took a bite out of that sugar beet and had dirt on her lips, that she would have turned to you and said,.....give me a big smoochie kiss honey!!! What a great way to end the day,.....with DQ, a beautiful Godly lady, and enjoying God's beautiful scenery.

Great video. I always enjoy your content. Especially liked this one. Took me back to when I used to take driver's out on those country roads. I loved it. Your ending was nice. Was that at the Drayton dam? If so wow very nice and way different than I remember. Oh, and Mitch, she's a special kinda lady, trying tasting beans and sugarbeets right out of the ground. Love you guys....thanks for sharing and bringing your sweetheart with you. I grew up (in the 50's and 60's) in the Red River Valley in the Breckenridge/Wahpeton area, just a mile off the river that separates the two states. As in your area, we had roads around every square mile of a section and used to drive around looking at all the crops of the other farmers in our area. Now I'm in my mid 70's and a Sr. Retired Assembly of God minister, but I still love farming and especially watching you, knowing that you two are living for the Lord. I pray the Lord gives you a bountiful harvest this year. Remember to keep Jesus Christ # 1 in your lives.. Blessings to you and let me say it again....Love seeing you both.

Those classic pickups are great for chore work. It's far easier to get tools in and out of the bed than with newer pickups.

How hot is smokin' hot in the Red River Valley? Today in Kerrville, Tx it got up to 104. I got out early to paint the replacement deck boards I cut to length Wednesday and Thursday. Even though I have shade to toil under and it was windy I wimped out at 2pm when it was just 101.
