It has been a couple of years since I last commented though I watch regularly from my TV. From there, commenting is not really practical so this time I made sure to stop and come over to my computer to do so. I just want to repeat my admiration and appreciation for your videos. Educating while entertaining is no easy feat, but you do it and with such professionalism. Selfishly, I only wish for more. Just know, I still support and believe in you and am also so very happy for your marriage to such a special and beautiful woman. You deserve it all.

Great video today....your pictures took me back in time to the 1960's at Breckenridge/Wahpeton Red River Valley. As a teenager, I would swath the wheat with a pull-type swather, then combine it driving a Massy-Ferguson Super 92 (open cab, variable speed) combine. I was driving 'state of the art' combine back then. God Bless you and Genny.....praying for a great harvest.

I have spent many hours on a Super 92. 60 bushel tank.

Mitch to hear you say hot dish brings back a lot of memories for me. A little back story about me lived in north Dakota my whole life and moved to Arkansas 9 years ago and when I say hot dish down here I get a funny look from my friends and then get teased hahaha. When I heard you say it I couldn't help but laugh, down here they call it casserole which sounds weird to me.

We used pull type combines for over 20 years. We had a 914 & then the last few years we farmed we used a 1682. I did not mind the pull type combines at all except if you had small fields & had to fold up a lot.

I'm surprised you don't throw a cover crop on after early harvest. I'd have thought it would help with drying the headlands come permanent pile season. Even if its ripped up later it'd still have a 2 month benefit.

So different from farming here in se North Carolina. Potted meat, Bennie weenies, and Vienna sausages. I have got a neighbor who is working at the sugar co-op up there. It's a long way from North Carolina.

So im also in the red river valley. I was wondering why sometimes i see wheat that is more spaced between rows? But some other farmers have less spaced rows.

Question for RRV farmers. I have been seeing quite a few tri-axle semi tractors and tri-axle trailers. Are they getting too long to make it in and out of the field, because some gravel roads are narrow and field approaches are narrow with steep side slopes?

Saltine, peanut butter, 1 or 2 sardines and a blob of mustard. Sardines are messy (and they stink} so it's definitely a static locations snack. What causes the two phenomena that look like tire tracks? Is that where equipment is driven through the field during normal routine operations during the year including planting but also for spraying? The autosteer guides the combine in the exact same tracks for a given field for the entire season?
@karlrovey Жыл бұрын
They look like sprayer tracks. With the combines, auto steer helps make the most of your header width.
