So I finally got one. I have the exact same problem with the roto lock (or whatever you want to call it). It turns when I don't want it to. I keep it loose so I can disengage the lockbar and close the blade. I pick it up again, deploy the blade, go to close it and...the bar is locked in place because the lock spun. So then I have to do what you did and spin it back, just so I can close it.

DLT dropping an exclusive Hinderer XM18 "no choil" 3"... I watched MC's earlier videos on it, and the variants... it doesn't seem to be the best idea to get one... I've seen others complain about it's lack of function, as a knife to actually cut things, and you pointed out hardware issues... I've never owned one and am tempted... I need a reason to pull the trigger. anyone have one?

I get the Dvarlin tomorrow, one of only 15 they made in cpm3v. Would be happy if they produce more knives with other steels than cpm d2. Mostly the reason why I not buy them all. I love how crazy their stuff is.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that the lack of a primary/neutral deployment option comes from the strict European knife laws about not having 1 hand opening deployment. Kind of similar to how Lion Steel/Viper/MKM all have a bunch of models that look like they would be excellent flipper/thumb stud knives, only to find out that you're looking at a slip joint lol. But yeah, I'd bet that Germany has similar restrictions as a majority of the EU. Was looking forward to this review like crazy and I don't know if it's because you've had a massive haul of straight bazooka folders lately or what, but keep em' coming MC 🤌🙌

Mc I take issue with this review. Awhile back you gave the cold steel spartan a bad review, you said it was a pocket sword, too big to be practical, and you say the tri ad lock’s strength is unnecessary, but this pocket sword is ok? It’s titanium so it probably feels like a brick, it’s blade is thicker than it needs to be, and to meet the tri ad locks strength you need to perform three actions! Then the most egregious part of this knife is it’s cost, I’m sure this was expensive and it’s now hard to get so I’m willing to bet no one who has one of these knives would abuse it the way I would with a cold steel, with zero care. Ok I get it, not all pocket knives have to be thrown at every hard use task on the daily, I have some more expensive spyderco knives, like the shaman, tuff, and native chief, that are special sprints that get relatively babied when I carry them, but these knives are still used for general edc tasks and are comfortable to carry all day long, this Beowulf doesn’t look capable or practical for that. This Beowulf only seems to be good for collecting, and something made to please enthusiasts, and because of that I don’t see even see it’s value as a collectors piece, and I have a collectors piece as well, but I guess that going to more of a personal preference. Overall, the Beowulf seems like it was designed for hard use, but it is easily beat out with better design and value by what cold steel usually offers. I find it very hypocritical that you praise this but poop on something like the spartan. It’s as if you like the aesthetic of big hard use folding knives, but don’t actually like them in general, which is just so strange.

fun fact: If you want to make an absolute beefcake pocket knife that out tanks even the PMP, ELMAX is available in 12mm sheets (~ 0.5"! ) It's technically possible to mass produce one.
