Thank you! This is so timely for me. I received my heirloom mums plugs from 3 Porch Farm in Georgia a couple of weeks ago. I potted mine up as you did, but have not taken cuttings yet. Because of you, I feel confident taking cuttings. Your videos are so inspirational and helpful. I so wish that I could attend the Park Winters event tomorrow and watch your presentation. I so understand your struggle with Peter Rabbit! For me it’s the squirrels! They are eating all the new canes on my roses. I find the new growth cut off and then left nibbled on somewhere else in the yard…😤. They’re making me crazy!

Well it is that time of year… 🤣 it has a little passage over from my neighbor’s garden and I’m trying to think if there’s a way to block it or somehow discourage him. But I’m sure my garden is delicious. 🙄

@@HelloGarden try some “repel all” from Bonide. Organic and totally safe. Smells like garlic and peppermint. I use it to keep the deers away, otherwise they do some serious damage.

Interesting. I don’t think we have fancy mums here in zone 5b/6a. I only see mums for sale starting in late summer. Yes, a proper potting table would be nice but I like seeing you use what probably a lot of us use, a patio table or side table. Whatever works. I like it that I can relate to your home and garden, although my gardens are not near as extensive or as beautiful as yours. You keep it real and relatable. I always watch your video first as I have my coffee and a piece of toast, thank you for all of the effort it takes to make the videos.

Thanks I will check it out I grew 50 about 15 years ago in pots but they were just plugs from a greenhouse and they were the Belgian, I kept them pinched watered everyday ,they made a gorgeous display but nothing that looks like the ones you have 💚🍃🌿

Mums are beautiful flowers. In India, it blooms in winter from November to March. Kate, thank you so much for sharing valuable information on planting cuttings ❤❤

Impressive mum collection. They all will be gorgeous I’m sure. In my area they don’t sell many mums until fall and then it’s too late to have them root in enough to survive our winters in zone 6 ☹️💐💚🙃

That’s always when I see them too. These are such a different beast! I’ll need to overwinter them in my garage or see if I can do a hoop house of sorts… they definitely aren’t hardy in my zone.
