NOT Your Standard Tractor - Only 280 BUILT! - RARE Oliver 900 Industrial Tractor With Allen Cab

Gene Rosenberg owns one unique Oliver tractor, a 1946 Oliver 900 Industrial with a custom cab built by the Allen Cab Company. Only 280 of these Industrial versions of the 900 tractor were built from 1945 to 1951. Only two with cabs were built and Allen owns the only one still known to exist. This tractor was purchased new by the Iowa Department of Transportation where it was used mainly to push a snow plow. Gene found the tractor years later retired and abandoned on an Iowa farm. Gene shares the history of the tractor and some of the unique features on this industrial model.

Oliver was a great farm equipment company period. Their tractors, dirt plows, and grain drills and other equipment was state of the art. White motor company bought the business and ran it into bankruptcy.

About 1940 there was one tractor company that built a tractor similar to this that they advertised as "farm all day and drive to town with the family on Saturday", I THINK IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN MINNEAPOLIS MOLINE.

The udlx. Except it wasnt like this. They both had cabs, thats the end of similarities. The udlx was for farmers, this 900 industrial wasnt, it was for governments and factories.

America needs a factory that builds sompthing that works free of computers and junk.This would be a good place to start.

Its possoble,i have machines out there after 40 years zero problems.You got to know your shit well to know the diffrence in good design and potential. Todays machines are made to fail costing money and down time.mine dont..I rarly find anything i see potential in. Engineers see things different from other.
