Wow, not only is that Ramcharger mint and ideal for a restoration, a lot of the toys shown are collectors items and worth selling off or keeping. I recently found this channel and love the energy and content. I'm a lifelong VW fan and have repaired and restored many, and in general a car nut.

You said nobody really lives out in this part of town *Who owns the building/barn the ramcharger was sitting in? Was it your brother's or was he just using an abandoned building surrounded by other abandoned buildings/homes?*

It was my brothers family home they grew up in. It’s in a trust with 7 people. I think it’s about 3 acres. The last time we were there the roof had collapsed so, we got the Ramcharger out just in time.

Also I ram into the issue with my dodge with the Chevy style distributor being to big and I couldn’t set my timing right because it was to big so I changed to Jeggs ssr2 distributor I think it’s way smaller and replace mopars finicky wiring systems

Good to see your brother's RC back in action. Had my '86 4x4 for 16 years now and there's a lot of memories tied to the old truck. Almost finished with a four year long rebuild. 410 stroker with Eddy PF4. It took some doing but it's mated to a 2016 8HP70 eight speed with the original NP208 transfer case mated to that. Locked 60's etc etc. And I couldn't agree more on the GM one wire alternator and ditching the factory ignition system. You will want to check the harness bulkhead connector at the firewall for burnt terminals on the mains while you're at it. Personally I hope the engineer that designed all of that mess died of jock itch.

@@HHWheels Yeah....and got reincarnated as a colon polyp. Been driving Mopars for over 40 years and the factory electricals are terrible from the late 60's up to the mid 80's. Best to rip the majority of it out and throw it over the neighbor's fence.

Super cool what you did with the Ramcharger. Definitely get rid of that wheeze 130hp 318 slogged and drop in a 440. I've had 2 77 Ramchargers, and now have a 35k originaliles Plymouth Trail Duster. These are great trucks. I'm looking forward to a follow up video of the Captain America Charger.

We are working on it. The hei distributor fits so tight there’s only about 5’of adjustment. We are going to be putting a 440 in it so we will be able to do some proper burns🤘
