The Ultimate Van Build Journey:
In Season 1 of the van build, we stripped off the old DPD stickers, rust-proofed the entire van, painted it our favorite matte grey color, redesigned the cab, planned our van's design / layout, created our epic water tanks, built our custom panorama roof windows, installed new wheels, & installed an insulated floor! PHEW! Building a home is something else! bit.ly/LM_SEASON1
Then Season 2 of the van build rolled around, and with our workshop's renovation behind us, it got TECHNICAL! We built a 47 degree solar tilt (1kW of solar power!), made custom seat bases & installed our custom seats, we took security to the NEXT level, breaking down our 12 incredible layers of security, wired everything our tech-dependent home will need, created the BEST insulation we've ever seen in a campervan (check out our video on campervan insulation & cold camping insulation), installed our own custom security cameras, framed the ceiling, AND created our peak-a-boo curtains. 🐾 Who are we?
We’re Ladi (from Czechia) & Margaret (from USA) and we love eBikes, campervans, & cats. In 2020 our van life lifestyle flipped upside down, & we needed to stop traveling in our camper to lockdown in eastern Czech Republic due to the pandemic. With no travel plans and some new time on our hands, we decided to sell our old van, start an electric bike business, begin a youtube channel, build our ultimate dream campervan, renovate a junkyard into a tiny house homestead, plan a container & upper workshop space… well, some other smaller projects in-between 😅.
What we thought would only be 6 months of “stillness” has become 2 years of innovation, progress, and so much fun, and most of that is thanks to YOU. Although we’re excited to be back on the road and traveling the world again soon, we’re so thankful to lay a foundation here in Central Europe & bring you with us on this crazy journey. So sad to hear about Millie. Who knows, she may turn up one day. I'll say it again. I really look forward to the van build. I so wish that we had the opportunity to do the same type of project. There are just too many factors to overcome for Rose and I to undertake such a big project. After watching each episode, a week is just too long to wait, they are so good. Keep it up. I want to see you guys on the road with all of the awesome features of the van. It would be cool to have a road noise recording before and after the build. That is one thing about our class B is that the road noise is ....well, noisy. (We have a Travato by Winnebago). Can't wait until next week. May I suggest that you guys stop sleeping at night and do some more work so that I can see more video :-)

Nice job guys! Haven't seen any of your videos for AGES! Since before you went to America! So I have to catch up on the whole build project you did on the workshop aswell as following the van build! Anyhow it's coming along nicely! Some nice touches! I like how Ladi is a perfectionist like myself the attention to detail takes twice as long but 10x more worth the effort and attention to detail as that's how you perfect things and designs and also if you don't do it and know it's there, or that you wanted to do something and didn't it'll BUG/ANNOY him, like it would me so while it's finicky, it's well worth the effort! I don't know about Ladi but I come up with many ideas just in my head they often never make it to paper but I always had the ability to visualise designs really well even from school age and although I didn't go into design and engineering (which I should have done 100%!) I've come up with some great ideas over the years even little fixes or solutions to problems people don't think of or put up with and I see that Ladi does the same sees something that can be improved and has the idea and just does it. I really like his style and creativity! Wish I had a neighbour like you guys! Would for sure be putting my creative juices into some projects! Unfortunately haven't got a workshop myself so force of circumstances I'll have to live vicariously through your videos and van build! Lol 😅🤦🏻😎 Looking forward to next video! Yes, we have thought about it but it’s unnecessary complication and extra weight. It’s too simple to just grab and slide. The side window we talked about motorizing tho. Will see if it makes sense when we get to it.

Just discovered your channel, absolutely terrific. Coming from the security industry you might consider a 136 db warbler horn inside and/or outside coupled with interier motion detector. Should someone breach, you'll likely find a body slumbed over the steering wheel with blood pouring from their ears. Love your cat, where do you keep his litter box?

quick question, when the fan vent is closed - if you activate the fan could that cause an issue? (overheat the motor, or some other issue) should there be a relief in the pocked for the fan to vent even while closed - OR should you wire a switch so the fan cannot power whilst the cover is closed?

I know you’re working in Europe but by any chance do you have a good source for that special insulation with the black spongy stuff sandwiched between silver heat reflective lining that sells in the US? Here’s an African American traditional folk medicine to recover something lost…. Take a cup say what is missing into the cup, turn it upside down place it upside down on a surface. Might sound crazy, but it can’t hurt. It has worked for me with missing items, not sure how it will work for pets, but it’s worth a try. 🤷‍♀️
