I was recently thinking we really needed a good Mewtwo match up chart, and, lo and behold, NotBae delivers! I think you should consider doing a revamped Mewtwo guide in the future as well. Btw, DK is absolutely a +2 for M2. You get hit by DK, that's your fault.

This is a really good list so far! I agree with almost everything except one thing… why is Link -2? I understand why he’s rough but I haven’t had *that* much trouble fighting Link. Maybe he’s more -1 like YL. Also it’s great to see VenomAZ on the channel. If you’re reading this VenomAZ, s/o to you, hope you’re well.

I'm a Link/Mewtwo main and I'm really not sure because I never run into fellow Links OR Mewtwos lol. But Link has a big sword, kills mad early, and his projectiles are too spammy/weak for confusion to really be threatening. Link IS kinda slow horizontally though. The big thing is if you get the hang of using the bomb as a combo tool, then not only do you still out range mewtwo with your sword, but you combo him hard, AND you can out frame data him. Short hop + z-dropping the bomb spawns a hitbox in front of Link on frame 4 if you buffer it. Mewtwo's JAB isn't even that fast.

Yonni thinks Steve is easily M2’s worst matchup. His uptilt combos M2 for days, and placing blocks at ledge pretty much invalidates teleport recoveries

Damn I used to main mewtwo and now that I think about it I never really struggled with DDD. Now i play iceys and especially online everything just works for DDD. I might start re itterating my Mewtwo for counter picks.

Maybe it's just a personal thing, but little Mac rocks me. I really struggle to get space, and that God forsaken ko punch...

Spam weak shadowballs more. Throw out some disables unless he's using side B, since disable is great for beating grounded approaches. Mac is also easy to juggle and your up air is great at juggling, the only things you gotta worry about are air dodges, counters, and neutral B, but if you wait those out you can get big punishes like upsmash or disable, maybe bait those out with an empty short hop? Mac of course gets edgeguarded. I'd recommend back air to cover horizontal recoveries, and falling with neutral air to catch vertical recoveries, but either way you gotta be earlier than his side/up B. Shadowball is really good for forcing him to use his resources early while he's still far offstage. Lastly look out for counter while he's recovering.

I play against a Steve main all the time and he is a more skilled player than me but personally I think it’s a -1 matchup, but I guess I should leave it to the pros

I think fox is mewtwos worst matchup as well, he runs all over mewtwo and its hard to anti air all the landing nairs. U never get to breathe

Falco is definitely -2 there’s no chance he’s in the same tier as Falcon. Pika is at least -1, no one knows how to play pika correctly. If the pika player is good, you’re playing catch up at every interaction.

I think wolf , falcon and Sheik are even. Wolf is just slow, you can deal with and see coming everything he does, sure you may take a lot of damage if you get caught but Wolf does that to everyone, it's not a matchup thing, it's a wolf thing, same with Falcon and if ya ain't outputting as much damage as these two as M2 I feel maybe you're doing something wrong, you're playing a glass cannon without using the cannon, I just feel outplayed when I lose to these two. Sheik seems rough because it feels like you can't do a thing until you realize you're at 150% and still alive then you touch her once and she explodes. TAS Sheik isn't real, she can't hurt you. Link and Y.Link is hell. Get sucked in by usmash from 2 meters away and die at 60% and get spammed from every angles possible faster than it is possible to reflect, without mentioning the unpunishable nair that kills. I'm no pro but I do have about 3000 Mewtwo gameplay hours and have a few tournies attendence in my bag if that counts for anything. I agree with everything else.
