@Big D Ron Lions doing what they have to do to survive. I would like to see you in a similar situation, haha. Anyway, contrary to folklore, majority of lions don't fight to death when outnumbered. Most ousted males run for their lives and die as old nomads. Who knows which story is which because these cunning documentary people mash up different documentaries of different lions from different places to make up one story to sell. Cause I watched a documentary of a Notch and Chief brother coalition. In this one, Chief disappears and that Notch never has contact with roaming nomads. He hides around his pride, scavenging near them until the rivals leave then he reunited with his pride. There's no mention of five sons. Then there's the Mara notch who is kicked out with his sub-adult males but not together. Rather than die on his own he tracks them down as they're doing their own conquering, joins them then they return to the marsh pride and take it back. Then they continue taking over prides as father and son coalition until they split. Notch remains with his closest son Long until he dies. Notch then disappeared while patrolling. I think they merged two separate stories to create a folk tale. The environment of Mara in Kenya and Okavango in Botswana are different and it's evident from the two documentaries.
