if mojang wanted to copyrigth strike / cease and desist that font, it wouldnt end well. due to how pixelated fonts work, there is only a very very limited arrangement that keeps them legible. this would be like copyrighting the special "a" but not the other a shape that is in "@". its a moot point, its a pixel font, nobody cares, "minecrafts" font is a standard 5x7 pixel font used everywhere

Relating to the whole manager thing, its very common for people who are "wealthy" to have managers. It's nothing out of the ordinary. Notch has clearly had no mental structure after selling minecraft to accomplish much else, he was set for life. Living without any objective gets very depressing easily especially with the complications that come with having a publicly large amount of wealth (fake friends etc) that the only people you relate to are other super rich people that are still actively pursuing their respective ventures whilst notch kinda had nothing else going for him since he's literally no longer needed at all on his one greatest creation. Having someone that he can personally trust on a personal level and to motivate him and help organize a lot of other tasks so all he needs to do is simply focus on creating whatever his next idea is really unlocks a lot of lost potential in him. Obviously nothing he makes now will ever top Minecraft, but that's for good since all he needs to focus on is simply the core game itself rather than monetization etc.

Honestly, with the current state of gaming being that triple a studios are focused on monetization making lackluster games as a result, and indie games being well-received because the developers did whatever they wanted to make the game fun, I think notch is doing the right thing by just making a small title without trying to revolutionize anything. gold is a really weak metal and not stronger than diamond and obsidian is quite strong so i really dont know what that was at the end

He was wrong about the gold, but he's right about the obsidian. Obsidian is not at all a strong material. It's incredibly brittle.

Very wealthy people are exactly the type of people to have managers working for them U can have 1 of 2 managers, either one that works for u, or one You work for, almost anyone with a job has one For super wealthy people managers help them keep track of everything they need to remember, help them buying things, keep track of their investments and holdings and a whole host of other stuff, and it basically boils down to anything the person paying them dont want to spend brain power/time thinking about and dealing with. For notch specifically id assume his manager is mainly hired as a source of positivity in his life initially, thus leading to a strong bonding and a solid friendship, which id say was the ideal out come. Ofc his manger probs also does alot of the tedious tasks everyone has to go thru. Sorting out bills, making sure rent and what ever else gets paid etc. In reply to the video its great seeing notch back in action and i can only be excited to see what his come up with this time
