Keep doing the sewing 101 videos. We didn't have Home Ec where I was so I'm learning it all on my own.

I never knew the double notches are for the back! Great video! Thank you

A tip I think about especially when using a new pattern for the first time. I always cut my notches outward. If I find that I have to adjust the garment to a little bit bigger, I'm limited to how much I can let out if I've cut the notches inward. Nice video, Professor. Thanks

great practical advice for notches, double on the back , single on the fronted allowing for ease in the sleeve head.

Long open hair without fringes looks really good on you. I never really use notches, I should probably start doing it. Most of my patterns are self drafted so I don't feel like adding notch marks

I know we've talked about your hair color before on Facebook I will have to go dig up that comment but I do want to say that and this is so funny cuz it has nothing to do with notches or even nachos, but this hair length and style and color suits you the best!!!

Thank you! When notches are used on a neckline do you grade the seam and then do notches on one side only or skip the grading and do notches on both sides?

What do you think about using pinking sheers?
@ProfessorPincushion5 жыл бұрын
ok, if you're cutting notches into a curved area but not practical if you're just doing a single notch

I would like to know how to mark darts. Years ago we used the tracing wheel, how do they do now?
@dcwatashi5 жыл бұрын
A lot of us still use the good old tracing wheel
@oldtimerlee88205 жыл бұрын
@@dcwatashi Agree! The only time I don't use "the good old tracing wheel" is when the fabric can't handle it. Using the wheel is fast and simple. Can quickly mark all the darts needed for a garment.
