This was the MOST comprehensive explanation to make bias tape. I saw a sewing show with Nancy Zieman explaining the EXACT same way to create bias tape. Thank you for the demonstration. 😊

Angela, you made me love making bias tape and less afraid to use it in my projects. I've used many of your KZbin video tutorials because instructions are all easy to follow. Thank you

Thank you Kate! Don't be afraid of using it. The worst thing that will happen is you might get a slopping looking project. But a bit of unpicking and starting again will fix that. Always try on scrap first if you're not sure and remember no one is marking you on it!😃. I'll have another quick binding project soon.

I've been a subscriber for a long time, watching from middle-of-nowhere upstate New York. I appreciate you and all of your videos. Your teaching style makes everything doable; they take the fear out of a project of technique. I often find that, what you are teaching, I didn't even realize I needed to learn! I'm looking forward to watching your pot holder tutorial using this binding. Thank you -- again ... and still.

Love all your informational videos! You explain so well and clearly. Watching from Chicago burbs... I tend to overdo backtack stitching and would unnecessarily do so for each joining seam but I guess once sewn into place in the intended project it wouldn't be needed, right? Is that why? Thank you for all your wonderful videos...have subscribed for quite a while now! 🤗💖
@NotchesSewing4 күн бұрын
Thanks Marilyn! There's really no need to backtack. You can use a shorter stitch if you feel it will com apart easily but once it's turned over and pressed in place, there's really no stress on the end of those seams. Also, if you don't back tack exactly on the stitchline, you can't get a perfectly flat seam..... Thanks for the sub!🥰

Probably dumb to hear but I had no clue there was such a thing as a bias tape folder. Been doing it by hand all these years and honestly never thought to look for something like that. Just ordered a set off Amazon.
@NotchesSewing3 күн бұрын
No not dumb at all. It's only in my later years that I started purchasing tools. I would do many things by hand and limited tools.😊
