Listening to what you said about liking things in colour. Reminded me that it has been said that it is easier to remember things if you write them in different colours, it's just easier for the Brian to remember. (Might be different for others but it works for me so just keep that in mind)

looove these tips, even though im in Univ. they are still useful ...for college though recording lectures especially in anatomy or physiology is extremely helpful even english i wish i did that with all of mine

I am totally a victim of highlighting like 2/3 of the page and then being like "FRICK, now how to do I study for this?" Erasable highlighters are a great invention ;)

HAHA that would be quite the invention! A professor once told me he first highlights in yellow and then goes back and condenses the information even more by highlighting in pink. Then the most important information is in orange! I thought that was interesting

I actually have found erasable highlighters at Superstore/Loblaws! They were crayola and on clearance for like $0.50

I just like the power point nd writing your own notes with different color. It just makes sense. It just put it in one place instead of being scattered, which I think will make scattered mind. I do almost the same when my teacher gives me back to rewrite an assignment in swedish language! and I underline the things that I made changes to. In that way I see where I repeated my mistakes in grammar or whatever!

Wow, you are so organized! My classes are very different, so I only take notes in my notebook while the teacher is speaking. I use different pen colors too, it makes it easier :)

One question...The outline format for the power points is an amazinggg tip, almost all my professors use them & I've just been inserting my notes right onto the slides (which isn't going to well!) but my question is, how do you get it to paste correctly into the docx?? That isn't going to well for me! Thanks for your time :)

Yes! I alwayssss take voice notes in my Human Biology class; he talks super fast and also goes through powerpoints. When I get home, I can take better notes, because sometimes you miss out on what the teacher is saying in class. Now I can just rewindddd Anddd I can just skip through the blank parts where the teacher isn't talking so not that it takes long. :)

hey i'm studying accounting in uni as well! I've been struggling though since I'll be the 1st accountant in my immediate family and the subject can be quite dry at times. The only time I'm interested in accounting is when my tutor/lecturer shows passion. That can't be helped. What I want to know is how to study the concepts of accounting better? Most educators just try to show us cases to read which of course is just another form of learning from just more text! Urghh. I like the things you point out just as writing notes and highlight. Anything else? Something to maybe make the concept stick in your head and be able to apply correctly to situations?

Why don't you use one note. Is one of the most powerful note taking app. Surface pro 3 or any laptop-tablet having Windows in it would work best. Having a stylus would be much great fun.

It's so funny cause I actually can't have more than one color of highlighter! I'm pretty obsessive with note taking but a fail when it comes to colors haha I actually just use a pencil and a highlighter to take notes :P Great video!

If you want to voice recording, you need to be careful. You need permission from the professor to record them. Copyright laws have really increased and you can get in trouble for recording them without permission.
