Thank you so much for sharing this! I am transitioning into a role that will have me wearing many hats for a while. I was looking through YT for tools and techniques that will help me keep everything organized as much as possible. This is the third video by you that I have watched in the last 20 minutes! I appreciate the thoughtful layout for the color coding. I have avoided color -coding in the past because I felt like a) I did not want a bunch of markers on my desk and b) my system for organization was too granular thus I had way too many colors. You can see how this then feeds in to point a right? Anyway, this system is something I can definitely manage and it will create a compendium of info in my notebooks that I can analyze at a glance to always know where I am in a project, in a task, or in a week. Thank you so much for creating this video. I m a heading over to watch your "How to Develop a Project Manager Mindset." 😍

I appreciate that so so much!! ☺☺ I understand what you mean - especially when you are going a hundred miles an hour sometimes color coding is just not feasible. But when I transition into roles where there is a sharp learning curve or too many balls to juggle, this has definitely helped me!

@@carlaaguilarrivera so far I am actually liking it. It's really helping to form structure. Problem is my Action list is rather long since I handle multiple accounts with multiple projects all running at the same time.

I’m a project coordinator at a civil engineering firm, so I usually have a fair number of projects on my plate. I’ve been struggling with a note taking system that’s consistent for all of them - so glad I ran across this video. I’m making it so much more difficult than it needs to be!!! Question- I also just watched your paper planner video. Do you use this notebook as source material for setting up your weekly plan? Or has one of these analog methods replaced the other in your work life?

Hi Tina, I am so glad these are helpful! I definitely use my notebook as source material for my weekly planner. But it all depends on the phase of a project or role that I am in - if I am quite comfortable and familiar with the role I go more digital.
