This is another look at the construction process of the 4” x 6”, five pocket notebook. To create this you need either 1 sheet of double sided 12” x 12” paper, 2 sheets of single sided 12” x 12” paper or four sheets of double sided 6” x 6” paper. The paper used for the journaling portion of your notebook can be anything you choose. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Thank you for watching and happy creating.

Thank you for sharing this idea. I have tons of 12x12 papers that's been lying around my room and I don't even know what to do with them anymore. I am so excited to try this project. I am guilty with buying expensive notebooks to use as my journal even though I am capable of creating one for myself. But your tutorials always encourages me to stop buying things that is unnecessary, and try to be resourceful. I am 23, and a college student. And sometimes I feel insecure that my hobby is not as interesting as anybody else. I love journaling and I've been doing it for more than 10 years now. Thank you for always keeping my love for journaling and creativity stronger by showing to us your love for it. It means a lot to me. Keep safe and continue creating! (Sorry fory bad English)

Dear Leza, I read your comment and I think it’s a warm and thoughtful note. I don’t know that I’ve ever written such a lengthy reply to anyone but I read your comment and was compelled to reply to you. Please know I’m not a weirdo stalker type. I’m a gramma to two girls I wish were as thoughtful and grateful as you seem. Anyone should feel blessed by reading such heartfelt words. While I read your comment I never gave your “poor English” a thought, rather for a 23 year old I’m impressed. Most young adults use texting shortcuts when writing what I term as “formal or proper letter”. I believe the younger generations might call it an “Old School” type of letter(?) Nevertheless don’t I feel you need to apologize for a heartfelt letter of any kind when written with such warm and truth. I remember wanting to “fit in” and be like my peers when I was a young lady so I understand what you mean. My passion at your age )and much younger) was sewing. Like you not many girls knew how or showed much desire to sew as I did. I’m a young 63 years old now and I must agree with Corey , “Do what you love”. I don’t think I speak to one of the people I did at 23. And You’ll never guess…my passion for sewing is as strong as it ever was. Express yourself the way you feel most comfortable and what brings you the most joy. Im addition to sewing I just love making junk journals don’t you? It brings me a similar satisfaction as with quilting, where I can take all the discarded pieces and create something beautiful from them. I feel today’s society has become so “disposable”. Not much value placed on things that aren’t new or “the latest”. There’s a feeling of triumph for me when I repurpose something, anything from up cycling second hand furniture to reusing buttons from an old favorite blouse. I hope you keep your passion for journaling thorough out your life as I have with needle & thread. People often comment “You’re so talented and good at this”. For which I reply “I’ve been sewing for 50+ years. If I’m not good at it by now perhaps I should take up piano.” Lol Albert Einstein said, “Creativity is intelligence having fun”. I can’t agree more. Best wishes for a long, healthy & creative life. Keely Murrieta CA.

@@keelyandhercrazywheatenter573 Thank you so much for your kind and lovely message. I was raised by my grandparents and they greatly influenced my preferences. From music, the way I dress, and my thinking. All of those was influenced by them. It was also my grandparents who first appreciated my craft works and understand my love for journaling and papers. English is not my first language that's is why I have a limited selection of words to convey my thoughts. So, I just make sure I only use simple words. Me too don't understands how my generation communicate these days. Most of my friends either double or tripple my age, so I am used to communicate with clear words. Also, you are right. Might as well enjoy the hobby that I love rather than copy what other people do.

I watched Gayle and had to laugh because I had to go back and rewatch. I had to make the 2nd fold 2x because I made the notch too big. So I guess I made mine the Ronda way. 🤣🤣

Another great inspiration Cori. I have a question, and have had this same issue with other tutorials. My scoreboard is opposite from yours. My 1 inch is on the left and yours is on the right. I have made many scorelines incorrectly. Any good suggestions? ❤️

Could you maybe print off a new label to place on the top? Not sure that would actually help, but it might be worth a shot.
