It’s a continual learning process, which is what I think makes it fun! The beauty of so many techniques in junk journaling is that it’s only paper, so not much output if you don’t love the outcome. Have fun learning Susan!

Maybe the next time you make them really look at the finished piece and ask yourself what, specifically, you don’t like. The colors? Patterns? Blend? Balance? Size? Configuration? I think if you pinpoint what you’re dissatisfied with, it will help you make small changes so you can create something you like.

People use them differently. Many keep them as decorative pieces. More use them as journals to write ideas, thoughts, life happenings, etc. some use them as photo albums and others, like me, use them for a combination of things. I save photos, memorabilia and stories in mine.

But the beauty of creating them is two-fold; you get more experience with each one you make, so endless opportunity to create something you’re pleased with, and if you make one you don’t love, toss it. It was made from paper scraps!
