Thank you, this video really helped me. I changed the keyboard in my asus n550 and thanks to this detailed video I knew how to disassemble my laptop. I saw how to change the keyboard on another video with a similar model. Such a great video!!!!!

You forgot to clen the 2 fans and air intake the most important :$
@j.lietka94062 жыл бұрын
Can the 2 fans be removed for cleaning without having to take out the whole motherboard, or heat pipes? Also, can appropriate sized copper shims be used where there are thermal pads? Thank you 🤓 I found (yes, found as a neighbor tossed it out!) An Asus N550xx series Laptop. But no bottom cover, no RAM, no HDD, no wifi card, half the keys are missing, one hinge, where it attaches to the screen housing, is broken (plastic), & the fans are clogged with dust! I plugged a charger into it, & an LED came on (front lights) so I think it still works! Also part of the screen frame is missing!

What is the thickness of thermal pads?
@j.lietka94062 жыл бұрын
Do I see right? When you removed the copper heat sink/CPU & GPU heat sink, & you had it upside down, were there, on 4 places, a thermal pad? Could you determine the gap distance, & put a copper shim to help with heat transfer on those 4 spots? Thank you

Right, but it's not hard to remove it to make sure dust cleaned everywhere.

Do you guys know where can I get the similar dual fan like this? I ran into a problem with my asus n550 laptop fan, which creates noise everytime it runs (it sounds brzzzz and my whole laptop vibrates with it). I did the test myself and i think the trouble is the fan runs out of oil, so i want to replace it (only 1 fan has problem, the one with logo on top). I just hope if you guys know where can i get a similar fan.

I don't play videogames at all... Within normal use, the temperatures go from 38 to 42°c for the intel 4600, and from 35 to 39°c for the gt750m

What kind of paste did you use and that instrument what is it?
@NotebookCenterTV4 жыл бұрын
There is a wide selection of different paste. Most of them work quite well. Nowadays we would prefer ARCTIC MX-4.

How does one take off the keyboard for replacement since it has those kind of "plastic nits" holding it to the top?
@NotebookCenterTV7 жыл бұрын
When we have to change a keyboard, we remove these plastic nits, it's only one way to do so.

You can upgrade your RAM for more MB or other type of RAM but you need to check the specs. With the GPU and CPU you dont because they are BGA (if i see).

Re my ASUS N550J; I have a problem with my monitor ghosting and turning pink, I've checked the laptop using an external monitor and it works fine. I read that I need to check the ribbon cable, I'm guessing it's connected to the monitor :) but I'm not sure what it looks like or where on the video it's in view (where on the timeline) Help would be appreciated, I'm nervous taking the back off.
@organicmedicalcannabis37576 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info, I just need the courage to remove the back :) I recently dismantled a vaporiser after reading detailed instructions and I destroyed it, a few important details were left out of the disassembly instruction. Hence my caution. Again, thanks for taking the time. When you say the cable is "black cable with black connector few cm under the hinge, on the right side" is that from the perspective of the person in the video above?
