@@NotebookcheckReviews on some Legion like the Legion Pro 5 AMD 7745HX + RTX4070 it is an enormous 300W power supply :-( but 300W cannot be small whenever it uses GaN technology, USB power input can be used but only to reload the battery and only if PC is turned off according to the manual, it's a shame because if you change settings to only use iGPU for the day, a much smaller USB-C delivered power would be enought.

I honestly don't like the design even though the absence of side vents is a plus, it feels like a step backwards because of the port placement and bulky design. Last year's slim 5 looked much better. Maybe they are experimenting, and this is just one of those oddities.

You need to change the way you do battery tests. Most people use the laptop during the day, and in the day they will use it at 250 nits at least. You should do tests at this level to get a more practical perspective on its battery. Even 200 nits is too low for daytime use, let alone 150.

Real problem is the naming scheme. Is the Legion 5i and Slim 5i the same or is it different? Especially in the latest versions. Seems like a big problem with their lineups this year. Honestly after owning Legion Slim 5 16" 2023 and LOQ 15 " 2024. I would say both laptop outvalue this Legion 5i 2024. The newer intel CPU doesn't really give enough efficiency improvement vs last year AMD or even Intel i9/i7. And with the pricetag of $1600-1800 this laptop would not sell much. Also the port placement and design choice is not an improvement over last year model. Even LOQ 2024 did better port placement, and i prefer the exhaust design on LOQ 2024 too. If only LOQ has 16:10 screen and QHD+ variant it would dominate the gaming laptop market in terms of value to performace and also thermal/cooling quality over other brand.
