Your videos are so encouraging. Thank you! I am homeschooling 4 kiddos right now. I get worried that I'm not doing enough, so I change my methods, but I keep coming back to your methods. They are common sense and timeless. Thank you!

I totally understand the boomerang, done it many times myself😁

I love how you explained how many workbook methods are just regurgitation, versus notebooking helping people process information. I've been waiting for a notebooking series! It's been on my heart to have my kids replace book reports with notebooking. I'm waiting for my 8 year old to finish her RC book, "The Rover Boys on the Great Lakes," to submit a notebooking page entry to you ❤

I’m love this so much Sherry! Your teachings on notebooking and CM for real moms have been so life-giving to our family! My 10 year old boy has just transitioned from only reading aloud to mama to now having 2 days a week self-reading. At first I would have him orally narrate to me what he read. But this week he did his first self-directed notebooking page! And since he’s so accustomed to Copywork…he chose a passage on his own, copied it and then drew a picture. Such a proud mama moment for me. And I can truly say- it’s from your example and teaching- and all the lesson book pages and mama-directed notebooking pages that he is seamlessly transitioning to this. Thank you Sherry a thousand times over for all you do. May the Lord abundantly bless you in ways greater than you can think or imagine. ❤

One of my daughters is using The Lesson book for vocabulary and another is using Gentle Grammar supplementing ILL. They both love them over what we had been trying in our first homeschooling year. ❤

Question!!!! 🤚🏽How do you fit this into the homeschooling day, and still get all the things done? I’m so afraid if we take time for it, we won’t get all the things done. I haven’t let them loose with this a lot because of that fear. 😬😬 Can you kind of show how it fits and flows in a homeschool day with multiples? Mine are 12, 10, and 8. We’ve done CM for two years, Heart of Dakota which is kind of CM before that, one year of CC before that, and eclectic pulled from mostly Abeka, ACE, and Alpha and Omega before that.

I suppose it depends on what else you have on your plate. Notebooking can take the place of many different things, so you could be combining many things together and simplifying. Btw, no one is ever able to cover everything, not even the most prestigious school with the best teachers. We light the fire, our children take off and end up learning above and beyond our plans

I can't get any of my kids to do notebooking. They like drawing but not when it's directed. Then it just feels like busywork. 😞

My kids have been like that before. I explained that doing some things like this helps us stay free instead of being forced into the system because of the need for proof of learning🤪😁. Also, giving them the angle of creating their own encyclopedia of information we can keep for years and share with their kids. Next video I hope to give loads of examples💓

@@MomDelights We're in a no-oversight state and they don't really care about showing their work off. 😭 I'm the sentimental one around here. 😄
