Me and my best friend live in Arizona. Every summer we go to Lahaina and have a house right on the beach. We always go surfing, shopping, walks on the beach, but sadly the house is Burt down to ashes and all are surfboards are not there anymore. Are friends Jake and Even live in Maui and every time we go there they come over and we surf. Jake is 10 Even is 11. There house is burnt to ashes and before they left the only thing they had to grab was their phones and their bunnies. So thank you for making this and I will for sure by it soon! Like if love Maui!

For those who don’t know… Maui Lahaina had or still has a fire that burnt down all of the history in Lahaina. All the historical trees and places and just everything is pretty much gone now because of the fire. There is a story of 1 family that had a beachfront home and they had to jump in the ocean and watch their house burn. Super sad.

@@kaylakarg7673yeah we’re safe, story time: the night of evacuation, no one told us (me, my grandma, and my mom) that we had to evacuate so us 3 went outside and realized everyone was evacuated except us..my mom couldn’t drive us to safety cuz my dad took her car and she can’t drive my dads car, but thank God a police saved us and put us to safety..my dad wasn’t able to come home and get us bc the police stopped everyone from going Lahaina (my dad was coming home from work at Kapalua). Me , my mom, and my grandma grabbed as much as possible and left, little did we know our house was gone for good and our things in the house are gone💔

Wildfires are so tragic. Losses are something you don’t get “over” quickly. We had one 9 yrs ago and 225 homes were lost. Hardly a day goes by I don’t think of something we lost. Pictures are the worst. We got out with the clothes on our back but we were blessed to have a RV stored elsewhere so we had a place to live and we had good insurance. Most were left with nothing. Prayers go to everyone that has experienced losses especially all the precious lives lost.

My family and I were also in lahaina on holiday at the same time as the fires, just seeing all the local families evacuating to our hotels and telling us their stories made the whole situation feel so surreal. Especially as we had no power or internet/ radio so we had no idea the severity of the situation until we got radio signal. Even as we were on the plane leaving maui, we all felt so sad for everyone who lost their homes and family members as we were there on holiday but these were their homes. It was definitely an experience we will never forget for a first time coming to hawaii! Praying for everyone who lost their homes and family members🤍

I can't imagine being there for this devastating time in Maui. I'm thankful you all are alright but my heart is broken for the beautiful people/place that went through this nightmare. We all must count our blessing. We are preparing for our first hurricane to come to San Diego. So crazy...I left all this on the east coast.

There was a really bad forest fire in Canada Saskatchewan in my town and it spread all the way to the highway and everyone had to be evacuated but they handled the fire and my town is fine now but I’m thankful that no buildings were damaged❤ (happened in 2015) I’m sending prayers to Maui and Not Enough Nelsons❤

Once on vacation, we had the fire alarm go off in our hotel at 2am. It thankfully ended up being a false alarm but before knowing that, it was so scary especially because my family was split up during the evacuation. Now I think of how terrifying it would be during an actual emergency. It is so good that you discussed emergency preparedness with your kids and had a plan in place.

I suggest that you can donate the profit earned from the Maui vlogs to the victims. A vlogger here in the Philippines did that before when a typhoon hit our country, wherein she donated all the money she earned from her typhoon vlog.
