Thanks for this recommendation. I am a fan of her, too, on many levels. Grief: I have lost my father when he was 51 and my own husband was 43 only. I am with two little sons. To me Griefing means letting go, and opening up to the “new old life”. The process of Accepting runs from shock to tears to love and gratitude, to anger and doubts, to pain and bitterness. Sometimes away, sometimes towards it. A deep process. May you, too, grow from it further. Thanks for speaking from the perspective of love and adoration. Very touching.

I'm sorry about your dad's passing. Grief coming from loss cannot be explained. We are hurt by the emptiness from not having certain persons around us anymore. They leave forever and we only see them alive again via the things they had done while alive; we see them alive also in certain situations where all we think about is just what they would have done if they were there. Loss is a tough thing but we must find strength in trying to keep going while storing the memories of those we have lost safe. Well done, Nneoma. You're one of my favourite persons in the world. ✌❤🙏🙌

Permit me use this space to equally congratulate Chimamanda for her recent outing to Germany, where she spoke the real truth to the Oyibo people. She did not miss words , they all were nodding their heads in appreciation that a black lady was addressing and telling them , nothing but the truth on how they stole our history. Just that she is far from me , I would have asked the tapper to fetch her some fresh palmwine .

Lovely video, i'll definitely be picking up a copie, grief is a slippery thing, my mother passed 41 years ago and the grief still bubbles up like lava, often when i least expect it, catching me off guard, and in all these years later ive not found a way of dealing with it. Perhaps this book will provide a pointer. A way towards the beginning of a clearer healthier path.

It's Divine that this just popped up in my feed. This year has been hard for me. My mum went into the hospital 2 days after Thanksgiving 2017 & died on December 30, 2017. I was there in the hospital & I'm reliving it all. The parts of the book you read about feeling the physicality of death is exactly how I feel. Someone knows EXACTLY how I feel. I needed this. Thank you...gotta get this book!
