Nice to hear a mature christian speaking TRUE common sense. As an ex "awakened" new ager converted to the true Christ I'm APPALLED to see so much deception in christianity. I'd no idea. We're fast moving into *Matthew 24:24* territory: Satan's having a Field Day.

You and I see things in the very same way my friend, and God bless you for the Lord's bringing you out of the new age stuff. Tragically, it's almost as if the new age is entered the Church. She remains blind and deaf and dangerous because of it. I have halfway seriously considered naming my mission, "Christianity for Grownups." Shalom, and welcome aboard. DK

When Yeshua Jesus says to 'Follow Me' He means to the death. His Disciples knew that. Its both literal and figural. We die to our 'self' life in our daily Walk with Him and He transforms us into who we will be forever. We agree to 'count the cost' and follow Him with our lives to overcome this world. When I came to that conclusion, I knew that it was possible that in a life or death situation....(like the one Peter faced) that I couldn't trust myself to know that I would make the right decision. So I admitted that to Him and asked Him to make me ready. What followed has been an amazing journey and very fulfilling life experiences that can not be expressed in Words...well...some day I will hear His account, from His perspective of how He did it, and I am sure He will express it perfectly!

This is an excellent and accurate description of what it is to follow Christ. Like you, I did not understand this until later in my walk when he opened the books to me and said exactly as you have written it: To follow Him is, as Bonhoeffer wrote it, "a call to die." What follows that decision is an extraordinary, intimate, sometimes painful but ultimately deeply rewarding journey. Well done my friend, well said! DK

Not loving their lives so much as to shrink from death is the key you have really made clear - in a way we can know and understand.

Dr. Kelly, strong message and very right. I wonder if there is a word or words that could describe we believers to separate us from the antichrist believers. In my opinion it would be the Hebrew names of Yahweh and Yahshua. I don’t know many (if any) Evangelicals that use the true names. Ponder this for a while and tell me what you think!
@drkcircuitrider2 күн бұрын
ROGER: I too prefer many times to use the non-Anglicized names such as Yahweh, Jehovah, Elohim, El Shaddai, Adonai, and my favorite for Christ is Yeshua ben David. The decision I make is usually linked to the audience that I address. That in the spirit of the Great Apostle who "became all things to all men so as to win some" (1Cor. 9:19-23). PS: bless you again my friend for the generous support for the work. Makes a huge difference. DK

The only definition of Worship the American Church knows is to sing. That is why they believe they are not Worshiping DJT. To" Bow in obedience" is the true definition.
@drkcircuitrider3 күн бұрын
Excellent, Gary! it is the shallowest definition of worship that could possibly be offered to the congregations. Sing, sing, sing until you weep and collapse and somehow that will get everything done that God requires. No nonsense. It is only one way to worship the Lord and one of the lesser way as you write it correctly, under the greatshadow of sustain obedience.

Can you share your thoughts on Jude. That speaks of how not even the archangel Micheal dare not bring a railing accusasion againt the devil but said may the Lord rebuke you? Comparing it to those who despised dominion??
@drkcircuitrider3 күн бұрын
Excellent question, Melissa. Two quick responses, though I promise to deep dive this to make sure I am on sound doctrinal ground. (1) Michael was an angel, not a saint in Christ. Albeit an Archangel, but we are, in Jesus only now - above the angels whom we shall someday (in the eschaton) judge. (2) The key word in that passage is blasphémia [βλασφημίας], meaning "railing, accusatory, reviling, slander, detraction." In other words, vicious lies, undisciplined, false claims. Also, krisis [κρίσιν], or "condemnation, justice by authority only reserved to God." (3) If these qualifiers were not valid, then Luke 10:19, Matthew 18:18 and other authority promises would be a lie. Just an initial reply; I will study further. DK
@melissiakish39653 күн бұрын
That would be great. I look forward to your Search on that. As I read it it seems even in the greek that He is saying that it is actually stepping out of our limits to speak in a way of speaking evil ( blasphemously) against dignities (supernatural beings) like the devil. Since the comparision is that even a high ranking super natural being does not dare call the devil a blasphemer. And even says if you do that you are a beast doing what ever their instincts tell them to do bringing about their own destruction. Reminds me of how God ordained and gave authority to satan to kill Jobs family except wife,and animal and his flesh but not his life. God ordained that. Job never railed against the devil but questioned God himself. He knew ALL things come by God's ultimate athority. Just a thought.
