It's still frustrating that Longrun decided to hold that grudge in Nothing's greatest moment of need. She joined this pride to be there for her, but turned around and was ready to just let Nothing confront a murderous-intentioned Quickmane alone. It was absolutely a dick move on Nothing's part to miss the assessment, but stopping an angry lion from actual murder is a LOT more important than rubbing her face in it. And it's worse in context. Longrun watches Quickmane intend to kill Nothing. The sky opens up and Quickmane announces he'll kill Fire instead. Nothing BEGS Longrun to help her. And Longrun's choice is to say, "I did all this for you but you fucked everything up so go stop your abuser from killing your brother on your own. Meet you back at the steppe. Btw I'm not Hover anymore because I gave up my name for you in that ceremony you missed."

If she truly loved her, she would help her girlfriend when she needed her the most. At least she would get to be with Nothing. She even freaking said it in episode 3 or 4. I don’t know why, but, when I wrote this AU (that I currently don’t plan on releasing to the public) where only Hover (because Powerstrike and Farleap get killed by hyenas who also severely injure her) reunites with Nothing, I decided that Nothing would at first be distrustful of her, because her only remaining memory of her is when she lashed out at her for missing her ceremony. She doesn’t even remember her name, and only remembers her as just another lioness. Hover than gets her feelings hurt when Nothing says “I don’t even know you.” She repeatedly prompts her to remember their relationship, apologizes for lashing out at her, and even tells her she won’t call her by her cruel name, and only then does Nothing remember and the reunion becomes happy.

Keep in mind they're young and prideless have very different views to pride lions, to them injury and scars are worn with pride, they find pride names silly, I think hover not caring about nothings name and even finding it funny actually gave nothing some comfort- the start of her realising her name isn't all that bad, hover was the first adult to call nothing by her name without negate meaning behind it. Her reaction was awful when nothing really needed her but id like to think she's learned her lesson from the months of depression, no one is perfect, we all f up in the heat of the moment, emotions make people crazy but they can be learned from

Especially because Hover doesn't say things like "cool scars" or anything nor does she say to wear them with pride. She just mocks them. Even when Nothing in a very sorrowful tone of voice saying her name in which very ableist she laughs at it mocking it. But either way she had multiple times to help Nothing and she didn't. She joined in on the abuse by gaslighting her essentially saying that everything that happened was her fault and she should deal with it. Even when her gf is in a very vulnerable position not wanting to lose the only one at the time who wasn't abusive towards her.

@@york7380 hover comes from a different very solitary background, no experience in a group, dealing with others emotions or situations, pride lions see injury as a positive i doubt she thought asking would be an issue cause she was never taught. No one is perfect like i said people f up all the time or dont understand, if she can learn from it and change then thats good, you dont just write a person off for a few mistakes, we're all still learning, she spent months depressed thinking about her mistakes, she suffered and hopefully learned from it Shes a young adult with no experience, being an adult doesn't automatically mean she knows everything. There are SO many people, adults, that aren't bad people but mess up or have toxic traits, once they're taught and learn to understand it they can change.

I want to say they’re a good couple but like I agree that she basically gaslighted Nothing, I get she missed the ceremony but it wasn’t something she intended to happen, yeah she broke a promise and I can get why hover is angry and that’s totally understandable but besides gas lighting her she doesn’t defend nothing at all and it’s so frustrating to watch because she’s being physically and verbally abused and hover just sits there and watches it all happened and plus she already started getting close with farleap KNOWING how she treats nothing, and shares more empathy with her rather than nothing and even when her mother said how much nothing is a disappointment, Hover just doesn’t say anything at all. I love the show don’t get me wrong but it’s just so frustrating with hover

No one is perfect, most relationships get messy as hell, they're young, emotions make people do stupid stuff, and hover suffered for her mistakes, if they can recognise what they did, learn and grow from it thats what's important Hover also comes from a very different and solitary background, her attitude to everything is completely different, if anything she has the most to learn, as she wont have experience with others emotions and situations

@@its_ya_boi_hawk2024 Yeah ofc, there was lots of moments where I wondered why she didn't help, but i feel maybe that was partially to do with her lone upbringing, being new to the pride, pressure of wanting to fit in, plus a whole lot of stress, I think now that she's been around other lions enough she might have learned some manners and gained some understanding of others, we see her being sympathetic to farleap but thats only after she herself has suffered and been with them for months, that time was enough for her to learn something, well she at least knows she messed up as she thinks about what she said and realised it was awful If she had continued believing she was right and carries on with that behaviour later then it'd certainly be an issue But I think she deserves a chance to grow as a character Look at farleap and powerstrike, they were awful to nothing and they too have now given up everything to help find her, people can change

Okay hear me out. don't kill me! Just a theory! What if Hover is Lite in a twisted turn of events. Nothing and Hover seemed like destine lovers to happen to mostly everyone even to those who despise it. Well kinda like how every lion expect and thought Kyoga and Lite was destine to be lovers too. Lite ran a pride which was about to be unify with another with Kyoga. Hover is now starting a pride under her own following in hopes of making it whole by finding Nothing or waiting for her. When Lite was told Kyoga left to be with Karabi, he went into denial and started to look for her. When Hover was told Nothing was dead she was willing to believe a stranger and challenge a mane for truth to set off to look for her. Lite was a male but never was shown unaccepting gay relationship. Just super mad that someone you spent years with was taken away from another person. If Karabi was male. Id believe the same situation would happen. So what if. List just a fun theory. We are suppose to believe Karabi is hover. But what if Lite chose a life where he felt if he was in he would stop dying and stay with Kyoga. He chose to be female this time. Becoming whag Kyoga did fall in love for hoping to stop the cycle and win as Hover as a twisted turn in event. My theory was this cycle totally happen for generations over generations. Everytime like Nothing getting flash backs as being Kyoga. Maybe after every death. Lite gain those memories too. Choosing who they will be in the next life before loosing their memory again. I believe Nothing will fall in love or take an important position where Hover and Nothing can not be together and enrage Hover threatens the person and kills the person Nothing choose to stay with. Lite spent years with Kyoga hoping one day to be with her forever. Hover traded freedom, her name, and her pride and time to be with nothing. As Lite felt entitled to Kyoga. Hover will feel entitled to Nothing. I feel like it would be too obvious to say Fire or Feather or Proudmane will be Lite. Because Relationship with Toxicity and overpowering attempts to control someone can happen in any relationship. And I think Hover would be the one to show the viewers that.

She told Hover she was uncomfortable sharing that information, so Hover kinda pressured Nothing to tell her. "Ah, I guess the pride lions gave you a really hilarious name about it! Hold on let me guess. Broken leg. Bad hunter? Ooo, can't fight!" Nothing was very obviously uncomfortable, but Hover did not seem to care.
