THIS COULD LITERALLY BE AN ACTUAL TRAILER THIS IS SO GOOD HOW WHA- Like when Dream used Quackity's scissors to cut his hair and when he got his armor from Punz, there was this whole outfit change (it looks so nice) that showed his character change. And the animation was SO SMOOTH. THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS. THE IMAGERY. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH Edit: I just noticed how much of "Oblivion" was referenced in here. With him walking away from his past instead of falling into guilt. And him lying in the grass in the same spot as in "Oblivion", but with darker tones and now he's changed and much more triumphant. And obviously the scene of him looking back at his past self was such a nice touch! I also loved the moment when George realized that Dream was free

Honestly, it’s hard to see Dream as an irrational vivan anymore. I mean, he is still a villain, and a very unstable one as well, but I think it’s safe to say that his actions from now will be with intentions of revenge.

The only issue is, revenge for what, specifically? The things that have happened to him were caused by the things he did to others. C!Dream is absolutely an awesome character but because of the things he’s done, I find it hard to sympathize with this ‘revenge’. Like, pop off king but also… he’s a terrible guy morally.

I like the contrast between how dream is portrayed in this song and how he is portrayed in Oblivion. In this song, he is acts more sinister or evil and his appearance matches it. The dream in Oblivion behaves and looks the complete opposite. He looks more vulnerable and regretful. He behaves in a way that you know he is sad and feels guilty. I just wanted to mention this because I think it is cool that you can portray the same character in such different light. It also shows how complex dream’s character truly is.

This entire song is so good, but oh my god, I can't get 2:16 - 2:48 out of my head. It sounds so reminiscent of Oblivion, I love it. And Dream seeing/remembering himself in the prison at the same time the song mirrors Oblivion? Incredible. This song and animatic are stunning, especially that particular section, in my opinion. He goes from looking back to pushing forward, no longer falling or held back by what once was-what HE once was-and the anticipation of what he'll do next is gripping. Absolute perfection. Amazing video!! I loved Winks' singing and Halfy's piano and drawing! This song is practically Dream ignoring all the lessons he learned from the prison that would've made him a better person but he just ignores it being the villain in the smp and because he's nothing but free. I can't help but have a feeling that he's sort of trapped in his arrogance and way of thinking though. But good job you two!

He's really good at taking all the trauma he recieved and yeeting it into the dark recesses of his mind. "Trauma? What trauma? I mean I was tortured, starved, abused, and have gone through the worst thing that could really happen to a person but I came out fine so it doesn't matter."
