What an amazing rarity this electric gramophone is! Like others who have made comments, I didn’t know such a Rexanola product existed. While we didn’t get a closeup of the pickup (hint for future videos), my guess is that it would be of British manufacture, possibly BTH. Maybe the turntable was also made-in-England (Collaro?). If so, it would possibly be the only Rexanola product that didn’t use Swiss-made components. Thanks for sharing this rarity.

Now that is just way too cooooolll! So I saw a website that dosen't go past 1929. Can you please shed some light on the history of these great machines? Thanks. This sounds great. Just love that horse shoe head. Thanks for the post.

Riviera Revellers is actually a pseudonym here for LITTLE JACK LITTLE's Orchestra; off of American Columbia 2895-D (W-152709-1-2). Feb. 8, 1934, NY !!

@Frogstar64 Not much I can tell you about the electric Rexonolas unfortunately. I've made enquiries about them on every radio forum around, and asked alot of aussie collectors, but no-ones ever seen then before. I wasn't even sure it was made by Rexonola until I found an ad for Rex Radios in the Aussie newspaper achives. The only other info I've found is that Emmco supplied the radio/amp for Rexonolas. So far, this seems to be the only surviving example of a Rex Radio or radiogram.

For histories about grammophones you can look on youtube, I guess. Maybe Shane can do a review of his collection of players/records.
