Always amazes me how Carl Pei reviews Apple's products very neutrally while comparing it to the development and manufacturing process of existing Nothing products. While I'm not a fan of TWS headphones or earbuds myself due to the latency and need to charge, I still commend Carl Pei and the Nothing team for creating such unique products with a real eye for the future.

@@AdmiralulNipples I have in fact tried several pairs of true wireless earbuds and they all have a noticeable latency (even when using the aptX Low Latency codec). It's a simple fact that true wireless earbuds, regardless of the codec or price point, have more latency than the 10-15ms of latency on wired earbuds and headphones. If you enjoy watching content without latency or require minimal latency because of your profession it is vital to have a 3,5mm headphone jack to connect wired earbuds or headphones.

My older earpods (not the pro 2) eventually had disconnecting issues after a year of use. While I've had the Ear(1) since release and the pairing has been superb. I ended up picking up the Ear(2) as well, and it's an overall improvement in sound! I do miss the round edges of the ear(1) case though.

Not gonna lie, even though I'm heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem and have no interest in changing things up, watching these videos definitely makes me want to buy a Nothing product. Probably nothing to replace any of my current Apple products, but I could definitely see myself buying a Nothing Phone 1 (or 2 when that comes out) as a second phone which I would use to test the Android version of our apps (I'm an app developer).

They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.

Doing a review of a product that gives your brand a direct competition is a ballsy move that not every brand could do. I can’t believe that the CEO of Nothing is able to not only objectively review competing products, but in such a public manner…I’ve heard other CEOs talk about their competition in a positive light, but always in a generalised state, but never in a direct and objective way, such as your review with the iPhone, where he stated that the iPhone was better for those who want a premium experience and the Nothing phone was great value for the amount of money you’re putting into it.
