I just discovered this girl. Every time she sings, I get goosebumps. FYI she is not shy when she sings, only in social circumstances. Many really good singers are very shy. Some never look at the camera when they sing. Then there is SIA with her wig...

"I'm a shy little girl who breaks out of my shell when I'm on stage" that just not what she really is. She is a performer, Shes done it for years, and in front of big audiences. She was on the UK voice, loses there so her dad (who really wants a famous kid) moves to America and has her try her luck here....BUT...They needed a story...play shy and quiet...so when you come out... They'll all be shocked!.. I mean whatever works but she's got all of you fooled thinking She s overcoming her little social roadblock... when she's NEVER had one.

lol, Ya Think? She has everyone fooled huh,.. well she has certainly made a dickhead out of you. Did ya know Janis Joplin? Nah probably not, she was a famous singer from the 70's, actually, Courtney has been described as Joplin re=-incarnated,.. well apart from her voice and style that 'might be' a bit like Joplin's... Ya see,.. Joplin was an ugly kid, a bit of a plain jane fat kid who rarely wore shoes and wore jeans instead of the school dress uniform,.. she had a lot of bullies at school calling her names all the time, weirdo, fatso.. etc etc. But, she loved singing, that was her escape from the bullies, she bought a guitar and actually began playing in front of people at smaller events. She joined a band and they were making money... still brutally shy, reserved with a low self-esteem, Joplin was able to face the world easier when she started on drugs and she developed a penchant for Southern Comfort which she drank all day long, like water. and ya know what Ken? She carried those insecurities with her throughout her whole career. Even when she was Americas Rock Queen and everybody loved her, she never really believed she was any good. Every time she walked onto a stage, she was full of anxiety and nerves. (and a few drugs and a lot of Comfort) BUT, when she grabbed that microphone, when she began to feel the music and she sang, she forgot the world and the arseholes in it. She had a powerfully strong voice which she was able to hide behind on stage a voice that turned her into a Millionaire very quickly. You know what else? She NEVER overcomes that low self-esteem. but, the drugs and booze helped her. Now although our Courtney hasn't been bullied or had to resort to drugs and booze (Yet), she is inherently a shy and reserved person around people. But give her a mic and an opportunity and she loves to sing. Sure shes travelled a few concerts and been on The Voice and other shows, but AGT was, in fact, her biggest stage and audience. So, yeah, she was nervous as hell, her body language showed it as did her voice that night compared to her interviews. Dad, doesnt really want a famous kid, he's seen the change in her when she sings and he is helping her to follow her dream as best he can, just like any of us would (Yeah not you, of course) Mate, she's 15 years old, not quite the seasoned rock star you make her out to be. She certainly did not need a 'story' or 'act' to manipulate people into some kind of media setup conspiracy fraud, she didn't need that at all. As soon as she opened her mouth you could see this kid was something special, an 'old soul' ..not like the manufactured and contrived acts of today, which most of your own collection consists of I'm sure. She throttled her music through her veins, she felt every (As I did) nuance of tone and she UNDERSTOOD what the song was saying and believed it, She performed with a deep down force called Passion. You won't find a great deal of GENUINE passion in today's music, there are lots of diamonds shining in the rough of course and Courtney Hadwin is a FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD example of that. To help get money together so Dad could fuel the car, or she could pay for travel and accommodation for her gigs at 13 she began to go busking, straight into London, shopping districts and busk... people, shop owners loved her, the other buskers didn't,.. every time Courtney showed up and unpacked her guitar, the other busker just took a break or moved on elsewhere in the city, because she drew a crowd around her everytime, just her, her guitar hanging off her neck and of course her voice. AGT was her biggest stage, the most amount of Audience she has had, there is $1,000,000 up for grabs as well as a Vegas contract, I'd be fucking nervous too. She is a prodigy of great music. She channels soul and rock music. She sings from the heart and dances like no one is watching... Have you done that lately?

Shrude..first off the kid is just 14 because she was 13 when she auditioned for AGT. Secondly I do hope England does not hold as many tone deaf people as you just painted with your "busking" story there. At that time she was singing in a more normal fashion and being damn poor at it. Only thing she had going for her was a naturally powerful voice. The videos of her at that time also show she isn't nearly as shy as painted in AGT. It is all an act my dear. And it is sad that you fall for this so deeply that you think she is all that "genuine". As I see it... she is quite the opposite of genuine. And fyi plenty of kids sing better at that age and have a different taste than chart pop. I advise you to check out kids on the Bluegrass scene for actual musical talent.

I usually leave a talent show on while I'm doing other things because every new and then I get surprised. When this girl first came on stage she was so shy I had to watch to see just how she was going to be able to sing. Then when she started I was completely shocked!! I never hear cool rock and roll on the show especially from a young girl!! I immediately thought of Janis Joplin but even better!! She is the most amazing performer and great singer I had seen in a very long time.

Been a fan for awhile now, but everytime I see a new performance the first thing I'm struck with is that there are things in the world we still don't understand. Is she channelling, is she possessed, has she been given a gift? How can someone this young speak with a musical soul that is decades old, with a passion and love of an innocent. But once I get over the initial performance, she is also a joy and pleasure to watch and hear, on par with the best and you slowly forget her age.

When Hadwin sang on AGT, she was nervous, and it was because of her energy, and PERFORMANCE that she was so well received. Here she demonstrates that she is also a terrific singer. (You can see this in many other performances available on the Internet). When America realizes how astounding her voice actually is, and that she can dance better than she demonstrated during her nervous audition on AGT, I can't imagine anyone beating her for the 2018 Million.
