My wife passed away in my arms on New Year's Day. This was one of her favorite songs. She would play it all the time and it would make her cry everytime. It even came to mind while I was saying my final goodbyes to her. She was such a kind and gentle person... This hits so hard now. She gave me and the kid 11 wonderful years. She won't get to see our kid grow up... but at least she isn't hurting anymore. Thank you for being in our lifes, HunnyBunny. We love you, we miss you. Brandy 10-21-1985 - 1-1-2022

I don't get emotional when musicians or celebrities die. But right now this 40 year old man is crying like a baby listening to this song. Words can't express the talent this man possessed. The world lost a great one that will never be replaced. Love you man and thanks for the music! R.I.P. Chris....for people who don't understand why others mourn the death of artists, you need to understand that these people have been a shoulder to cry on. A rock. They've been family, friends, leaders, teachers and roll models. Many have taught us what we need to know and what to do when times get rough. They've helped us move on. They've pushed us out of bed. They've helped us live when nobody else had time to. Artist have inspired us in endless ways and have been with us through stages in our lives. We've made memories with them. So when they die a part of us dies.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My older brother passed away on October 2nd. 2013. He was only 49. Bone cancer stole him from our family. He too loved to play the guitar. This always makes me really miss him. I still feel his loss every day. Makes me cry. But I try and remember all the times we went to the movies together as kids and to see concerts in High school and how he teased me mercilessly. But he met a nice girl, got married and turned out to be a great dad and big brother. I feel your pain. And Chris Cornell was one of favorite singers. His death has left a big hole in music. Like Prince, and Sinaed. Bless you.❤

Of all the saddest coincidences....I had an 18 year old son that passed away in my living room, died in his sleep, brain aneurysm,he played the guitar beautifully,he looked just like Chris Cornell, the way they dressed, the hair, the dimples, even his muscle structure,so many similarities that I could not even watch him for a long time without breaking,so needless to say the man was such a great performer and singer, and the fact he reminded me of Garrett so much,he inveribly become my favorite. My son taught my younger son to play when he was 8yrs old and he is absolutely amazing to watch,he is 14 now and can play anything, and do it perfectly, just for Garrett and his legacy. So the day I found out that Chris Cornell had passed away I broke down,my son died all over again, there went the only man that kept him alive for me.....no one can imagine the loss of a child, unless you know, and I don't know why I'm saying any of this,I'm just so baffled by the way someone I never met or knew,I seemed to know so well....it hurt almost the same,so to my son Garrett Randal McBride, and to Chris Cornell...I hope y'all meet on the other side, someday I will see them again, may you both rest in peace, the hurt and sadness I've seen in both of your eyes is over, that's all.

I sang this song when I was 11 years old at a school talent show. I belted this song out, even did a little Texas 2 step while I sang. My entire family was there cheering me on. I practiced for weeks. Even though, I couldn't play the guitar, i did a good job faking it, and honestly I don't think any1 knew I wasn't other than my parents. I came in 1st place. A big deal for a 11 year old. At 57 years old as of now, it seems like it was yesterday. We take for granted so much in life. We are only here for a blink of an eye. You must live everyday to it's fullest. Live, love, laugh. Don't be too serious, don't be cruel to your fellow man. Treat ALL ANIMALS WITH LOVE AND KINDNESS. TELL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIEND YOU LOVE THEM EVERY DAY. BUILD PEOPLE UP, DINT TEAR THEN DOWN. WE DO A GOOD JOB OF THAT ON OUR OWN. LOVE YOURSELF. APOLOGIZE TO EVERY1 U HURT OR LIED TO. HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF, MAKE A NEW FRIEND. GO AND CHECK ON A NEIBOR U NEVER SPEAK TOO. LIVE WITH NO REGRETS! PRAY. I COULD GO ON.....BUT I KNOW U UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SPEAKING OF. BLESS U ALL, EVERYONE!

@Protocol you are absolutely right. I saw him with Sound Garden in an old rustic hockey arena. I grabbed my girlfriend at the time and told her their was no way we were sitting in padded seat when Chris was down on the floor. We left our friends and fancy seats and headed directly to the stage. I literally fought us through the mosh pit and anyone between Chris and us. She was in front of me and I held onto the steel barricades all night listening to the best lead singers of my generation. I would probably still be holding on to that barricade if I had a choice. Wow... Celebrity deaths don't typically affect me, but this hit me hard. Chris's voice has been in my ears for close to thirty years. Through my awkward teens, my reckless 20's, my maturing 30's, and into my comfortable 40's. His voice, lyrics, and style grew right along with me. He will be dearly missed. Say hello 2 heaven, brother.

Dont be fucken fooled that he committed suicide, his and Chester Bennington's life were taken right before they fi ished the documentary. Sad thing is, no one would believe how many Hollywood elites who are in involved in , child/sex trafficking, pedophila rings, Adrenochrome production and organ harvesting. Remember, the ones who declined selling their soul for fame, are the ones who were taken out because they knew what was going on. Dark becomes light. They will have one unbearable hell to face!
