This is why Brent in my opinion is the best mechanic on KZbin, because this guy will go above and beyond with everything he does to ensure that everything is done correctly, dont matter if its qorth 1000$ or 100,000$ everything gets the same treatmenr..

This is my dream build right here. I own a 1963 Datsun truck just like this, even the color. I inherited it from my Dad when he passed away 9 years ago. I have other cars so I wasn't pushing to get this one done. I didn't know an engine that big could fit under the hood. Maybe this is a later model? My engine bay is only 22" deep. Not a lot of engine options for an area that small. Lol but this is so awesome to see!

I dk if this has the same as other sr20s since it has a dizzy. But the link seems to hate the cam sync signal it gets from the wheel. It has to many slots for it to read. Just what I've seen from others.

I wonder how the CAS is wired up, and like then you have a MSD backwards the timing changes with RPM with the sensor. I’m with is Dist that engine was factory NA. SR20DET S14 on were all coil packed. That thing defiantly gave your grief. Not to be negative or nasty who ever did all the set up work had no idea clearly. But that’s why guys like you have good businesses making stuff right. Good work.

Hey guys I found that when I was building street cars for customers I always used microtech computers from here in Australia because they were around $1500.00 bucks to my customers. They would take one day to wire it to the car and one day to tune from scratch. That is fully turned so they could just turn key and use the car for whatever they wanted! They are the easiest computer to use and tune and to fit. And they were good on the pocket! Now day microtech only do rotary engines witch is ashame but I still do a lot of rotary’s anyway so! I put a LTX12 in my 20b powered rx7 back in 2000 and it still works as good as the day I fitted it. But it is restricted to 20psi. So on 98 pump fuel it is ok for what I was using the car for. But I only ran it to 12/14 psi because it made a 1000 hp at the wheels and my gear box can’t handle anything over that. It’s just a s5 turbo 2 gearbox. Which I was told they were only good for 850 hp. But I did a few things to it that I had to do to all s5 boxes for my customers and they could then handle 1.2 60 foot on the back wheels in s2 rx7’s with a 13b turbo engines. And only running 10’s but that all the customers wanted! But customers are customers and they always want more in time. So I would always tune the engine up to 100% and I would just drop it back to 60/80% of what it would really make. Because they wanted a number I would do exactly what they wanted. But to save me time and money I would always tune it up to what it could really make. So when the customer would come back and want more I just had to just change the boost to the higher power level that would take around 15mins and give it back to them. But I would never tell them that! But all my customers got 100% quality! I have never ripped anyone off in my life! Because life is already hard with out shiting the bed to! Every single job I did and still do was an is things that no one else would do or say can’t be done! But why I have commented is I would always get the jobs that you just had to do to this Ute. Every man and his dog has had a hand at the car and not one of them knows what they are doing and just turn the car into a nightmare! So I would fix it for the customer that owns the car at the time and they would cry and bitch about the bill! Why is the bill so high and carry on to all of his mates and bitch for months but the car didn’t have any problems after the time it would take to fix. Oh and I always video and document everything. So when people would carry on and say that I ripped them off and all the crap that comes with dickheads. I could whip out the information and show everyone and watch them stand back and say oh! Yer that’s right I put in the work and I have all ways done the right thing! So I have had a good name! Even though I don’t work full time anymore but the jobs I decided to do, the people know that they are getting the best! Oh I closed my shop because I couldn’t handle dickheads anymore. Because here in Australia there are more dickheads than good people. And My life is worth more than the dickheads! So now I’m trying to start a KZbin channel. I have 8500 hours here to edit and I have to upload. I had now learned that that is not the way to do this kind of thing. Once I have all this up. I will do it weekly. So work a week edit that over the weekend and then so on. Because I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to this stuff! But I see dickheads doing it so it can’t be that hard? The famous last words! Anyway guys Cain hard! Love your work!

@ oh hey tell goofy in still working on the valve free heads. And I have started building a 2 stroke big block ford engine that I started back in the 1990’s I got court up in the rotary engine building prototypes on them. So I have a 429/460 block here I started on back then! And if it works out? It should. I have a few other engines here I want to do the same to! I have a rb30 here. That’s the head I been using for the rotary valve setup. But I think for all out power and reliability. Converting 4 stroke engines into 2 stroke is the future of power. Why because of the power that comes from a kx250 engine with a turbo on it is made! I have a 2.4 liter v6 mercury outboard on my ski boat that I built n/a for 300 hp. I fuel injected it and fitted a turbo and it is all most a 1000 hp. And only taking it to 7000. Rpm. Where to get around 400 hp with the carbs on it I had to rev it to 10,000 rpm and it will just blow up reving it like that with out spending up to 10,000 bucks on it. This v6 is in std form just a rebuild and I pop it up to 10.5 to 1. And only 20 psi on 98 pump fuel. It is mantle. 2 stroke engines are so easy to make power just like a rotary engine! I will keep you updated on how I go.
