What makes the original Metallica song so great is that, at its heart, it’s a very simple, straightforward song. They add complexity by adding layers of sound as it goes. Voiceplay is doing this to perfection and Violayne is hitting the peak. Geoff’s arrangement understands the heart of the song and does it the proper service it deserves.

You know what would just put this over the top? If Metallica did a cold reaction to this. The love and respect these guys have for them and this song is just so clear. Chicago got wind of VoicePlay doing this one and was so impressed they invited VP to their Chicago and Friends concert to sing with them in NJ on Nov 17-18, 2023. Layne's also known as VioLayne. Is that so cool? Spotify has VoicePlay on the internet. Try In the Air Tonight (Phil Collins) or Creep (RadioHead).
