Consciousness is an emergent property of a complex brain. The brain creates the mind, which creates the self, I, and me. In reality, there is no self, I, nor me. There never has been a self, I, or me, nor ever will be. It’s all a story. It’s that simple. No looking, seeking, nor pathway required.

Exactly! #Truth! Well said. Thank you. 🙏 And I might say, consciousness emerges not from the brain but from "Nothing" (to use the theme of this video.) Or instead of the word "Nothing," because that could be misinterpreted by some, perhaps one could say consciousness emerges from consciousness itself. And that Consciousness is the underlying "substance," if we can call it a substance, that proceeds the brain and body, physical matter. Its a complete reversal of what we have traditionally believed. But its an important distinction to make. It is challenging, though, because it requires us to have to redefine what we believe the underlying substance of our reality is (we usually call it "matter.") At the end of the day, it's fine to believe either way, however, it's important to check in and see what these beliefs and definitions imply and how those implications make us feel. If we believe consciousness is dependent on the body (matter, rather than consciousness, being the primary underlying substance of reality), does that imply that we are a separate person among other separate people living in a three dimensional physical world? Does that separateness imply feeling fragmented, vulnerable, and the need to acquire in order to than feel whole, happy or at peace? Are we more then something physical that lives and dies? You obviously understand this stuff and are very well spoken. I love your recognition of the way thought creates the idea of a self, I, and me. As you say, and I totally agree, in reality its all a story. And that no looking, seeking, nor pathway is required. What you spoke of is the greatest "truth" as I know it. 🙏 I totally agree. I just gave a voice to a small place where I thought, as true or untrue as it my be for you, that perhaps a bit more freedom could be felt and experienced, if you felt that could be of use or needed. Alive and in Love with Life! :) ❤ -Brian
