I feel nothing did a wise thing by not launching another phone model this year, just like most brands do now... and they are spending time in tweaking the s/w and improving the experience with updates. That's how things were earlier, brands used to release limited phone and keep them updated. I just hope they keep this trend so that other brands also start follow this, instead of launching a dozens of average buggy products and eventually ignore them.

@@suvamkeshari yeah you're right. Why would people buy new phones if they are getting their previous ones updated regularly. And talking about hardware, most of the hardware now a days is overpowered. We don't even need that much. A16 chip is too powerful to use. So any mid ranger or above phone can be used for 4+ years if they keep updating the software and solve bugs. But that'd not be beneficial for the companies and they won't survive that either. Nothing is new to market and as their CEO said earlier, they are just making a market for now. They are establishing their brand with 0 profit margins (or that's what he says atleast). Once they are established, they'll follow the same trend as others, instead of other following their trend. Ultimately THIS IS BIZNESSSS!!

Just got the phone on 25 Dec, absolutely loved the experience. Even 60Hz feels smooth on this phone. Fingerprint circle might not show sometimes if the phone is locked, but if I tap on sensor it works...so no problem there

Yeah I hope so too. This phone and the company really reminds me about the Essential Phone. I had owned it and that was a great phone with wild promises and no bloatware and so on. But the company went under because of multiple issues and eventually evaporated. So I hope this phone sticks and becomes a major contender in the coming while still sticking to the basic promises like no bloatware l, great design, respectable specs, great camera, consistent updates and so on. I am rooting for this company.

You should've known that Moto is always late in the update department. Maybe you'll get A13 in 2024, I am not even sure they'll ever push it at all. This is the experience they are offering with the most premium devices. While Samsung, OnePlus has already pushed the updates in the premium tier. Sad reality brother. Nothing we can do. This has been going on since Edge 1. I pity those buyers.

They should also be working with their pricing models. A new product from a new brand should not degrade the price that quickly. Almost 10 k drop in price in 6-8 mos isn't good for brand value at the nascent stage.

@@skam1968 Speaker quality is good. It isn't very loud though (Pixel 6a is better in this regard). Speakers are definitely not the stand out point for the Phone (1). The problem here is that the distribution is uneven, ~40% from the earpiece and the rest from the bottom firing loudspeaker

@@skam1968 I come from a phone with a very LOUD mono speaker (Poco F2 Pro). Compared to that phone, the Nothing has a significantly better speaker system. Although there seems to be no support for software enhancements like Dolby Atmos etc. The phone plays less sound from the earpiece, more from the loudspeaker but clarity is fantastic.

I use both Nothing Phone 1 and Pixel 6A, and the only good thing I can say about the Pixel is that it has 4K60 fps video recording. Otherwise the Nothing Phone is way more polished and stable. It is no less than a flagship.

Build quality - Nothing Phone 1 5. Battery life - Similar in both 6. Size and ease of usability - Pixel 6a 7. Software - Pixel 6a although Nothing OS is very close to stock Android. 8. Benchmarks - Pixel has a far superior single core performance but due to comparatively poor heat management, the phone throttles and sustained performance+ multi core performance is much more poor compared to the Nothing Phone. 9. Speakers - Pixel 6a has louder speakers

Need options to HUE the display colors because colors are too yellowish side. 2. And Blacks are not so Deep and Colors look bit faded. So please give us some option to CONTRAST the Blacks/Colors. 3. My issues with using Nothing phone_1 for 6 months ( i pre-ordered it ) 1)The battery is the main issue , it lasts max 5-6 hours on screen time 2)The display as a very slight green tint and when looking at it in the night you can see 2-3 dead pixels and even that papery texture on the display ( idk if that's supposed to be there in Super AMOLED) 3) The brightness is a bit less , you have to keep it at 50-60% during daytime inside the house 4)The haptic sensor makes weird noises at times while gaming and sometimes it even buzzes weirdly 5)The charging time takes around 80-90minss rather than the promised 70. Apart from these , there are some minor bugs but the phone is decent , not really sure if its issue with my particular unit ( I have the white 8/256GB variant running on android 12 ). However I have to credit the phone for its camera , I have seen it perform better than iphone 13 at times.

Interestingly, a reviewer did a very thorough camera comparison a day ago, of the Pixel 6A,Nothing Phone 1 & the iPhone 14, AFTER the recent round of updates. The iPhone came out tops, followed by the Pixel while the Nothing phone fell flat. The Nothing phone camera may have improved compared to what it was previously, but despite what Ranjit says, it is nowhere close to flagships, leave alone Pixel 6A.

My samsung f23 5g too got android 13 update And believe me guys ,samsungs phone are just amazing for non gamers Literally ,u will only understand when u use itbas your own ,its ONEUI truly the no 1 ui. It feels amazing Even though its 17k phone but it feels so premium ,and its diplay is definetly as par with any 15k range ips lcd !!

You actually explained it very well!! I haven’t enrolled in the Beta program but after the last update OS 1.1.7, the phone feels smoother and most of the bugs are fixed!!! Edit : wanted to add something...Phone 1 users, are you facing any sort of network issues?? It's happening with me...most of the time Instagram, KZbin, Twitch doesn't load if they are running in background since long time even though WiFi and Mobile Data are fine! Have to close the app completely and start over again...not sure what the problem is!!

Honestly speaking. I bought this phone for its look and I'm over it now. I'm a bit on a regret side. As it's not giving the performance I want. I should have thought it before I bought it.
