I got the 2a under the developer program in the US. I am on the T-mobile network and it works pretty well, although coverage isn't as good as my Samsung. Otherwise, it is a great phone so far. I have no issues with speed, bluetooth, wifi calling etc. The cameras are pretty decent and keep being improved with updates. Overall, I am very happy with it. It is well worth the price.

I am planning on buying nothing 2 , but after seeing the launch of 2a I think the 2a is better , any idea on which one I should buy?? . btw in my area i am getting 2a for 240$ and nothing 2 for 400$ Update : I got the nothing phone 2 The camera , display , glyph everything is very nice and the gaming performance is peak. But the battery gets ezily exausted as I have heavy usage , with normal day to day tasks and not so intense gaming I could easily get full day of usage and still be left out with about 15% at bed time

honestly, if you dont horribly care for performance and dont mind the back design that is very controversial for some reason, go with the 2a. if youre gonna do more resource-intensive things like gaming, go with the 2.. but really, if youre doing real resource intensive things on a phone, i'd go with a galaxy s23 or something like that.. the nothing phones arent the most powerful phones, but theyre good enough for most people.

Bruh, why don't you wait a few months and get the Nothing 3 instead ? But if you really want a new phone right now - I feel the 2a is a nice option. I personally don't care about a high grade camera in my phone - and the 2a is cheaper and provides the same value as the Phone 2

Get either a Pixel 8 for the 7 years of updates or a OnePlus 12 which got good reviews. Nothing is just a gimicky phone with lights. Also, there's no point in paying the Apple or Samsung tax.

i believe it works well on t mobile, but it doesnt work very great with verizon and at&t. if you use google fi, though, that will also work well as they use t-mobiles network. thats all i know.

youtube deleted my reply, i guess. it doesnt work on AT&T. it technically works on Verizon but its missing a lot of important bands for that to always work. Verizon works very slow on it. T-Mobile and anything using their network works very well. Google Fi works well too as it uses T-Mobile's network.

Sorry but you are misleading users.. The rear main Camera modules are not the same .. Nothing 2 has Sony IMX890 .. but the cheaper Nothing 2a has Samsung Isocell GN9.

And results is on court Nothing 2a. I have Sony IMX890 in OnePlus Nord 3 and Samsung GN9 in Nothing 2a. Night mode is definitely much better on photos and videos who made with GN9 sensor.

2a kills phone 2 in EU! Probably phone 2 didn't sell well enough? Otherwise Carl Pei wouldn't have released 2a. Specs are incredibly close for most users (all non hardcore gamers). Price is 699-840€ for phone 2 in EU when 2a costs between 329-379€ (379€ for 12/256gb model) so it's a no brainer in my opinion. 2a not only looks better and will get updates longer too, all that makes phone 2 kind of obsolete... I already saw a trusted good Indian tech channel who published a comparison between 1 & 2a cameras and the result was almost shocking! 😯 2a did beat 1 in all photo samples with both cameras, in daylight and in the dark, an easy win for 2a cameras, it wasn't one of those "maybe you can spot the difference?" not at all because 2a was a huge improvement and it makes me wonder what it can achieve with upcoming updates 🤓.

@@petrisalonen4893 I totally agree with you but the 2a has some drawbacks such as ufs 2.2 and lpddr4x ram just doesn't sound as good, or performs as well as the phone 1's ufs 3.1 and lpddr5 ram. The 2a excels in camera only(no offense to anyone who has the 2a and is reading this) just look at the geekbench score the phone 1 score 1089 and 2a scores 1154. Not a big difference, and the multi score for phone 1 is 2500 and 2a is 2200 (Correct me if I'm wrong) This doesn't mean it's worser then phone 1 but I'm a little bit disappointed with nothing. They could have spent a bit more and provided a decent snapdragon chip and ufs 3.1
