Dogs can feel the ty coming in. Therefore they stay out the water. Why haven't a real map and compas with you? Relay only on maps is not very safe. I use self a Bushman poncho to keep warm and dry and a storm kitchen from Trangia.

Some nice folks in that village could have spared some water surely??? Did you ask anyone, as they are on a known trail, hell, they should have a stand for water. That's some unfriendly country there!

I actually came across a woman when we arrived at the second village where the market was closed. Explained to her we are walking a trail and we had been without water for hours. Didn’t offer any water, just said the market was closed 😂
