This is especially AND significantly useful for in-the-moment notetaking, since our brains overtime can misinterpret information we consume, notion would recall your thoughts exactly like it was initially recorded no matter the moment you would want to recall it.

There used to be a program for MacOs called the brain that used mind mapping to put in your information, but it was tedious to categorize and put in the data. When ChatGPT came on the scene one of my questions was can i put in my database of information to generate answers, since my work is very specific. THIS does change everything, now i just need to wait in line.

Notion AI, in my opinion, will change the way we store, organize and create data. Someday, we will be able to train our them on our database and create AI versions of ourselves that would answer questions in our voice. Exciting times are ahead.

I wish notion push this further. like extend the reach of information by also including the transcript of (youtube) videos embedded or external URL inside the workspace. like how copilot does when searching the net for answers. there should be an option in the AI setting to [Search within my workspace only] [Search within my workspace including videos and URL] [Search answers in the internet]

Notion QA comes with notion AI, unfortunately. It's not specifically tied to any of the standard plans so you'd need to have Notion AI.

That's actually a really valid point, so thank you for asking! Notion Al protects data privacy and will only interact with and retrieve information from pages that users have permission to view there. Unauthorised information will be strictly off limits. 🙏🏻

The potential is huge (and you point that out very well) especially if you really put the quality time and effort in, to make a high quality and personalized second brain (which you also point out very well). What does not convince me, and what you only showed in a very brief and imo not very convincing example, is how well this AI retrieves the information and really serves it to you in highly useful manner. I am sure you broadly know your areas of expertise, no AI really needs to tell you that... So maybe you can show more on what this AI is actually capable of because until then spending all this time on getting the system up and running is only valuable if notion AI can then deliver.

so I left notion for obsidian because it had more of what I need but now that Q&A system seems like a dream that came true yeah in obsidian you can go back to specific contact by linking and hashtags but when you have over 5k note you won't just go through them one by one so by that I think i'm gonna use notion with obsidian well unless obsidian add the Q&A plugin but I don't see that happening soon a great short video that had very good information it's amazing how these apps are growing I hope we will be able to see something that make the AI in your note taking app act and give information based on your personality and way of writing.

I agree with you. An AI trained on your brain (the content you put into it) speeds up many things, especially access to personal knowledge and memories! This is just the same with any other AI. The difference is that the usual AI that we have access to caters to all data available online, while the notion Q&A caters specifically your own data and your data usage of the notion app.

That's right! Notion AI can only view and retrieve information from data that you enter and what the user can view (has permission to see on the device) Any unauthorized data is off limits!
