You need to aim for 8hrs. If you sleep 7hrs every day it will slowly wear you down. The key is getting 8hrs of sleep, going to bed/waking up at the exact same time, but always being a little bit tired (NEVER oversleep unless you're feeling dead). So mix up 8hrs with a 6-7hrs once in a while so you always have a little bit of "sleep debt". Additionally, dont eat before bed, dont drink alcohol 1-2hrs before bed. But mostly ignore everything I said and just go to bed early. Source: I read a book by a Harvard sleep researcher and watched a million YT videos on the subject
