@@devinedgin673 2% isn't much. Blood pact gives 7% and 4.6 killers can easily catch up. Survivors run at 4.0. 7% from blood pact makes them run almost as fast as the 4.4 killers. 2% will only make them run at 4.08 on top of killer being able to see boon. Haste also doesn't stack.

This is one of those things you might not care about until you deal with it. The day before I watched Otz go through this, I had to deal with a survivor that kept looping me around Shack without me getting them in chase because of how fast they vaulted. I seriously thought they were just absolutely destroying me until I killed them and they started doing that weird hacker hook-unhook thing. Then their friends called me bad in the end lobby. Lol.

Usually I get xbox hackers who have a 20% speed boost everytime I get close. and speed up just enough to where I cant catch them. you can usually catch this by spinning around behind you and trying to hit them who are chasing you. They instantly speed away.

Literally had one in PTB earlier today. Thought my game bugged out because the guy ended up floating across the map. Became extremely obvious when the same guy got a flashlight save on me despite him having been nowhere within range to get the blind and the blind itself happened instantaneously. I played against this guy yesterday and had the exact same experience. Clicky clickys, multiple flashy saves across the map, dead hard isntantly whenever I would attack no matter how long I waited. I was playing oni and chasing him, used my power and downed another person who was on a gen across the entire map (eerie of crows), pick up instantly and suddenly he was there, literally impossible. The amount of subtle cheaters in the game is probably way higher than most people think. Just recently I had a survivor I was a little suspicious of, then suddenly I noticed I wasn't really catching up to them with Agitation, and later when he vaulted Father Campbell's main building he had little to no stagger and never fell for a single mindgame, seemingly always knowing where I was. In the end he died because despite having what felt like a slight speed boost he wasn't very smart, so all I had to do was bait him to re-vault pallets and lunge around the corner. Pretty strange when a guy you can seemingly never catch suddenly goes down so easy.

@Dart Runner That's assuming that they know what the cap is. It's also assuming that they wouldn't do a base cap of 4.0 m/s and change it based on the perks that effect the player. They can also do a check on the perks that don't transfer. For example, no one other than you is going to use your hope. So, if the person doesn't have hope and they have the end game speed boost, it goes past the cap. There's also the possibility of checking what a person can and cannot do with the perks and items they have. If someone is self-caring themselves without self-care or a medkit, then its obvious that they're cheating. What I'm getting at here is that Dead by daylight doesn't need to have Valorant anti-cheat, they just need to be smart with how to catch cheaters.

Here's another thing I think should be considered. The life of the flashlight. And the times it blinds. Because if it has max blind time it means you can confirm the add-ons along with it's battery life. I understand you can technically find more on the map but it's still enough to add suspicion. I'm not a huge dbd player only about 400 hours even split on killer and survivor so I don't have it memorized.

i think the problem isnt even for newer killers because cheaters win so many games consecutively that their MMR goes up so fast/drastically that they are facing redranks within tens of hours of buying the game on a fresh alt. i think its more of a problem for people like otz who lose streaks or challenges and possibly without ever knowing they weren't at fault, and simply being humble and thinking you got outplayed.

Had a match where one of my teammates was running Leader, and it's one of my favorite perks so I was happy to see it. When I checked their end game perks, they didn't have it, and neither did anyone else on my team. They were also running buff perks like streetwise, prove thyself, up the ante, vigil, which were nowhere to be found on any survivor in their perk slots. They weren't outwardly sus, and we won that match easily. The killer had absolutely 0 way of knowing he had these extra perks. It's so unbelievably subtle unless you're really paying attention.

​@gamer daivik Steam's (Valve's) VAC isn't what DBD uses. DBD uses EAC which is owned by Epic Games. Also, maybe get better friends that don't hack/cheat in multiplayer games. Personally I don't think there's a justifiable reason to to do what they do unless it's exclusively to find exploits in the games code to report it to the devs so they can make fixes. White hat stuff.

The cheating is obvious just looking at the vod. He clearly moves faster than Otz at various points allowing him to chain impossible tiles that are super far and gain tons of distance. He also has instant vault animation even faster than vault build without having any of those perks. Then, there’s the obvious giveaway of using permanent balanced landing without actually having it equipped. At several points it also looks like he has auto dead hard hack, dodging at the exact millisecond the M1 happens despite killer being right on his ass, but failing to use it at all to dodge the birds in any way, probably because the hack only works for M1. He probably also had wallhacks which is how he always knew how to dodge the shots behind walls and how he was able to immediately insta vault for the flash light save, despite having awful flashy timings and missing every single one. Yeah, looking at things, I'm pretty sure the reason Otz got the downs on Dwight is because auto dead hard doesn't account for the crow being able to down you. Each down with the crow, there was definitely enough warning where Dwight could've at least attempted to use dead hard to dodge but didn't. Another reason I say this is the last cheater I ran into had auto dead hard and instant exhaustion recover, yet the crows for me was the only way I was able to down him. Though of course, he'd just pick himself back up instantly.

I've seen this guy multiple times in game, as his name always sticks out as funny to me. 3 times as a survivor, didn't notice anything. 1 time as a killer and he kept looping me around the small boat on the swamp. As soon as he ducked out of sight in the loop, he suddenly seemed to be so far ahead of me by the time I came around the corner. At 12:31/12:32 after you down the Nea you can see him at the far corner of the saloon. If you go frame by frame you can see him suddenly disappear (guessing he teleported). It's kinda hard to tell because the resolution isn't super clear. (At least on my screen) But it looks like the person running out is injured, which would mean that it's meg not dwight. I also think they either crouch behind that loop or possibly even drop down into basement stairs, because if you go frame by frame it looks like theres a downward movement to the right. Over time I've come to realize there's probably been a decent chunk of cheaters I faced, chases that just never ended even when I was nailing them with bottles as a clown they always seem to have enough speed to get away. Tinkerer popping on blight and yet not being able to make it to the generator before it completes even though only one person was repairing it. I wonder if a lot of the people claiming survivors are way too powerful, borderline unbeatable, just get unlucky and face a lot of subtle hackers.

When he has birds, you can see that he has wall hacks because he perfectly moves with you even though he shouldn't be able to see you or know where you are. When you downed Nea, you can see him warp into oblivion in the background by the gallows and instantly teleport to you. Plus the lack of stagger when falling... yup, he's a cheater. I thought the same, but I was mostly amazed by how he was always there for the flashes, even though Otz is a pretty aware guy this Dwight would just come out of nowhere with the blind and the angle. I know people that go for saves are always prepared but some angles/tiles tend to give you a hard time to position yourself but dwight always seemed to be just a W away from the perfect spot. I was playing against a Claudette that was not very good in chase (running loops very widely and inefficiently, lot of medium vaults instead of fast vaults, etc) and every chase was the same - the first hit would come very easily, and the second was nearly impossible and it kept feeling like they were getting faster every time they were about to go down, and somehow gaining distance on me. I thought I was going crazy. If a survivor is running a loop as tightly as possible, has great pathing, etc it can be a nightmare to get a hit but I know a good survivor when I see one, and this Claud was not one. These cheaters are something else, man.

I once played a match as trapper against a Dwight who found and disarmed my traps constantly, even though they were hidden and there was just no way he found all of them so quickly. I felt like he was cheating, but first I blamed myself for it and thought "well, today my traps kinda suck then". I played against these guys before, they are all cheating 100%. Subtle, but when you have been playing since 2016... easy tell. The one time where you were just about to get in hit range, but for some reason he actually gained a little distance on you... THAT right there is enough for me. Im not sure if anyone has mentioned it already, but the part where dwight ran into otz and turns the corner, i couldve sworn he used deadhard and then used it again not 10 seconds afterwards. If you look at dwight when he turns the corner, the character model leans forward and looks awfully like he used dead hard. Not sure if im right but it bothered me the entire video

I see what you're saying but I think that's just the start of the bird killing animation. He would have gotten a lot more distance if he used dead hard there. That was one of the very few things that seemed legit.

As someone with lots of experience some of the points you made afterwards I even missed, but during that final chase I could tell immediately that his speed was definitely higher than normal, and as you pointed out his gameplay was suddenly flawless. I once went against a cheater and I was a little suspect but I was mostly confused. It was only until rewatching the game when I noticed 1 of the players healed very quickly by themselves and without a flashlight that I could pinpoint which player was cheating (I also confirmed a Gen went from less than 10s of progress to complete in under 20s so that was evidence someone was cheating but it didn't confirm who). Subtle cheaters really suck because even for highly experienced players who can tell these types of things they can still go undetected, and realistically we can't completely prove it. On top of that most ppl don't have thousands of hours. Glad you were able to detect this guy Otz, loved the vid

This was the first stream of yours I was able to catch without interruptions. I witnessed this and the 2 hours of Detective Otz after. I don't regret tuning in. I watched the investigation like it was Forensic Files lmao. Every circumstance around this player just became more and more suspicious as the investigation went on. I think it's safe to say the verdict is - guilty.

Probably encountered these many times but there is one encounter of a subtle cheater which was boarderline subtle because of how stupid the cheater was. I was playing nurse and basically had gotten 3 downs around shack, keep in mind I was running tinkers, by the time I picked up the third person a gen popped, I didn’t get a tinker prop but I thought I may have missed it during chase, by the time I brought the third person to basement and hooked them another gen popped, that’s like a 10 second interval between 2 gens, it’s impossible that one person did them solo in that timespan, and tinker proves it, it’s crazy cuz you never actually know for sure apart from those situations.

Are you sure one of them hadn't 99%ed two of the gens? That would have explained you missing the tinkerer notification as well as the fact that they both were finished in rapid succession.

It was the start of the game, I found those three survivors working on a gen in shack, meaning that the cheater started alone, it also still doesn’t explain tinkers not popping up. (On top of that there was also a moment that when I hooked the 3rd person I blinked out of basement hella confused on how she popped 2 gens like that and then they all got unhooked like 15 seconds later despite the gens being popped on the other side of the map, i was still around shack when that happened so idk how I could have missed her, meaning she probably no-clipped in to keep the game going.)

I have over 6000 hours and I play Killer a lot, this guy was way too fast and had no stagger every time he jumped from a great height, subtle but an expert eye can see it, of course Otz doesn't need someone like me to say this and he immediately knew from the get go, CoconutRTS once catched a cheater only because they opened the gate 2 seconds earlier the moment the second siren of the exit gate played the audio cue, and managed to get the guy banned, that's what an expert player sees and hears, DBD is a lot of things but one of the things I always say is that it's a game full of muscle memory, so these things become super obvious for good players, the analysis Otz provided at the end of the game is enough to get this guy banned from the game, good work Otz. Also take a moment and watch the other players, you can see how they are running at the normal speed while Dwight feels like he has that extra edge as if he had Hope always active around corners, this kind of cheating is very popular sadly, also worth noticing that no good survivor no matter the skill can manage to do a flashlight save while sliding with no slowdown, behind a wall.

I actually did something similar not too long ago. Ran into the killer to make them thing I’d dead hard through, then they followed me for a few seconds, then I dead harded. It happened to be right when they swung… so I was totally thinking they thought I was a cheater 😂 but yeah there’s no way that wasn’t an auto dead hard

I recently played a game against a nea who was a little faster than usual, and the generators were getting repaired MUCH faster apparently. Even with that I got a 3K, and when I was about to kill Nea she just disappeared from my face and escaped without going through the hatch or the gates (since there were still 2 generators to be made), at first I was a little frustrated, but after that i felt happy because i had won against a cheater xD. I can only imagine how many matches against Cheaters like this I've played, some of them actually manage to hide it very well, In which case if it hadn't been for Nea doing this I would never have found out she was cheating.

Don't know if it's the same one but I was on Asylum and had a Dwight like this before, but I had I'm All Ears and could watch him when he didn't realize. Whenever he broke Line of Sight on me around a corner or after a vault and dipped around a window he would take extra steps while I'd only hear the normal footsteps (not Lithe, it looked like a mini Dead Hard zoom when All Ears was triggered) and when I'd try to mindgame with I'm All Ears I would see him facing right at me through solid walls. He was like white on rice, I couldn't catch him and also couldn't get away from him for a moment's peace.
