The portal might ruin a room but we have an example where the best player plays. Rod Heard was picked to be a safety with Watts but Adon Shuler was so good that ND coaches couldn’t deny him. So , in that case the portal guy had to sit.

Coach Freeman has to be himself. He doesn’t have to change because fans want him to. Whatever changes he does make has to be a natural transition. As long as his team responds to him, that should be good enough for us.

USC has some talent. ND should respect them. However, they’ve lost 5 close games to mediocre to bad teams. ND is on a completely different level. This game won’t be close.
