This 4-game stretch... vs. #4 Ohio State @ #17 Duke @ currently unranked but also undefeated Louisville (they dominated a BC team that gave FSU everything they could handle) vs. #8 USC After that they get a bit of a break before having to play @ Clemson in November. Obviously Clemson looks a bit down but by November maybe they'll have more stuff figured out and Clemson is still an incredibly difficult place to play.

Vegas let go a big sigh of relief with that field goal. They did not need to kick that and in fact the only way ND could have won is by blocking and returning it for two points. That's crazy to me that you would kick that.

That result seems more likely or at least equally as likely as a blocked extra point returned for a touchdown. Even in that case the returned PAT would only tie it, not be a game winning FG. The entire left side of the Ohio State offensive line had no one to block ND had no lined up to the right of the nose guard, and no one on ND recognized it.
