ND offense needs to be aggressive and get to an early lead. Need to force Stockton to throw to see what he can do. Unlike most games this season where ND relied upon the Defense, this is a game the offense needs to be leaned on.

Forcing Stockton to throw is not going to go the way you think. Stockton took all but two or three GHSA QB records from the hands of the likes of Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawerence.

Thanks so much for you cast today, Tyler! We all do look forward to it, and it is incredible to get so much content during this holiday week! I have it 14-13, or 14-10 ND. I will be biting my knuckles the entire time, or possibly be drunk, but I hope to see ND victorious, as audacious as that may be for the perrenial underdog's fans to say. The thing about history is that while it repeats itself from time to time, it is also full of firsts, and false comparisons. These teams in fact have never played each other before. The school's teams have, but not these players. For the same reason bad JuJu in the Colosseum didn't mean anything to these ND players, some misbegotten storyline about mythical invincibility vis a vis this or that type of opponent based on _provenance_ is just a ridiculous reason to pin a result on. Its probably a pick-em, baysian statistics tell me its our turn. Go Irish!

As a UGA fan I love your breakdown. Heard someone else say it, it comes down to can Leonard spread the field and win through the air. He has not gone over 250 all year, and he is going to need to throw his ass off if they have a chance.

I think you nailed it. It will be a slugfest, but ND should pull away in the 2nd half. There's a possibility it may even go like the Ole Miss game (or ND domination of IU). ND's defense (opp adj) is top 5 and may be better than Ole Miss, Texas, and OSU. They will give Georgia all sorts of problems. Georgia's rush offense hasn't performed as well against tough competition (Ole Miss, Texas, Alabama), and they didn't stick with the run. Losing Mills hurts and is a wild card here. However, ND's pass defense (opp adj) is particularly elite. After Golden makes 1st drive adjustments, I expect ND to make Stockton look like Conner Weigman or Kurtis Rourke (before the two late TD's). GA's defense is the best, most well rounded ND will face. ND's offense will need to sustain drives and establish the running game. UGA is somewhat vulnerable to running QB's, and ND will need Reilly to come up big. Eventually, ND will break off a few 20+ runs or even a TD. I think ND's defense will give ND's offense time to establish the run, and wear out UGA.
