"quick work" was correct on SMU. However, completely wrong about Boise State game, where it was 24-14 late in the 4th(and that was after Boise had just missed it's second FG). Late long TD by PSU made the score seem like it wasn't close, but in reality it was competitive for sure.

Dont forget the TD Boise scored in the early part of the 4th that got called back. That doesn't happen, it's 24-21. I think it was a hands to the face or illegal motion.

the only reason it was close score wise was because of the constant passing. I think they were trying stuff for future games, but if they just pulled a Mich. and ran the ball, they win by 4 touchdowns. Their backs averaged 8yds a carry.

I don’t think they can match Penn St. There is too much talent on the lions roster except the WR positions. Allar is any day better than Riley and the two RBs are way too experienced and are peaking at the right time.

My thoughts are Notre Dame missing their big DT will be a big loss. UGA’s o-line run blocking was bad throughout the season so they couldn’t take advantage of it, but I expect PSU to take advantage of Notre Dame’s undersized defensive line with many interior runs, which plays to Penn State’s strengths.

ND defense has proven that athleticism beats size. That injured big DT is only 295 pounds by the way. He was more influential in the pass rush than stopping the run. His replacements are very good run stoppers, but lack his pass rushing ability.

At the beginning of the season, I thought that Penn State would win the Big 10 and go on to bigger and better things; but, studying Drew Allar and seeing him be great and be marginal most of the season, I don't know. I think ND wins a really close rock fight. I played the Irish w/ a small bet to win and cover.

@ No but I watched their ranked games . + Every PSU game . I am happy to be an underdog but PSU can play with any team this year. Not the case in years past. There offensive and defensive line are better by far. If we don’t throw a million times . No doubt psu wins.

PSU hasn't played and beat anyone. I don't get the Warren hype. He put up great numbers against inferior opponents. He was irrelevant in the OSU game. ND defense is similar to OSU. Besides Watts and Schuler, ND's backers are FAST and strong. I think they will be like kryptonite to Warren. He will make a few plays, but will be stopped most of the game.

Notre Dame beat TAMU, Louisville, Navy, Army, Indiana and Georgia, who all were ranked when the game happened. They also lead the nation with 9 wins against bowl teams.
