I do know that they spent several billion dollars dealing with their own environmental regulations, for a substantially greener form of transportation than the highway system by their own reckoning no less, and they’re saying it’ll cost upwards of 100 billion dollars to actually complete the thing. Changing that section of I25 to function like the Autobahn definitely wouldn’t hurt, though there are other sections of interstate that would benefit a lot more from such a change since they’re a lot flatter and straighter than I25 especially towards the ends of that stretch near Monument and Castle Rock.
