The city population of Detroit in the 1950s once was 1.8 million people, today, the population is around 600,000. That means, housing for well over 1 million people in the city abandoned. Not to mention abandoned schools, warehouses, stores, malls etc...

I live in a town called Norseman in Western Australia, where the population is about 500 plus about 250 FIFO workers. The population used be much larger (like 3500) but the local gold mine shut down and a lot of people left and we have a lot of run down properties too. It's kind of charming in it's own way. Yo man, Im about an hour and a half north of Detroit in Saginaw. Just as run down & burnt out up here due to the General Motors plants abandoning the area (or UAW running them out, politics I suppose). The roads here in Michigan are absolute crap - watch for the surface between lanes, this is known to have separations or potholes that could pinch or swallow a whole tire up (even passenger car tires). Don't go fast where ya ain't familiar, especially on these roads. Stay safe, brah 👌

If I’m not mistaken the evil building has the absolute best breakfast buffet you will ever have in your life. But I would cruse Jefferson Ave through the Gross points on my 2015 GSXR 1000. All the time that road will take you past Henry Ford’s mansion. I grew up in Detroit and it really saddens me to see how much worse it has gotten. The only place that’s kinda gotten better is the downtown area.
