(They r my ult++, so I'm feeling a bit frustrated ToT) Am I the only one who's a bit perplexed about this comeback? I do like "Baggy Jeans," "Call D," and definitely "Golden Age." 1. First of all, the fact that this album is coming out so hastily really bothers me. The NCT reunion usually happens at the end of the year, around September or at least October. So when they announced it would be at the end of August, I was extremely shocked, especially considering NCT Dream had just come back as well. 2. And then, so much has happened this year. With Shotaro, Sungchan, and the SM rookies leaving, some NCTzens were still processing that, and they just dropped this on us. 3. The teasers seemed rushed too. I hardly saw the teasers around, except on KZbin. It felt like nobody was talking about the album or even knew about it. Normally, everyone discusses the teasers and I have this feeling like I'm in a new era (I’m talking about the feelings I had with NCT 2020 and 21) . For exemple, "Resonance" will always be the best NCT reunion for me because the vibe was just UN-BE-LIEVABLE. After NCT 2021, things didn't impact me as much, but it was still amazing, both the music and the atmosphere. With "Golden Age," I don't feel like I'm stepping into a new era. The announcement was unexpected and WAY too rushed. Personally, I wasn't as excited about it compared to the previous two years. 4. The music itself leaves me really mixed, cause I like them a lot and when they all come together, like NCT 2018, 2020, 2021, it's a big thing. You expect an incredible era (I don’t know how to explain it my bad ToT), It's not a small comeback; they put in twice the effort in production, etc. So it's supposed to leave a mark on you in a way. 5. And of course, the work, the rest... they all need it because it's not human at all. I mean, NCT Dream had a comeback just a month ago, so they were in album promotions, including shows, concerts, and performances, etc. But that means they were preparing for NCT 2023 at the same time. I doubt they pulled it together in just a month, even though things were rushed this year for no reason. Anyway, considering the OT20 concert they were planning during the same period, they must have practiced a lot. Just that, when you think about it, it's not feasible and it's a lot. And then just a few days later, they announce NCT 127's comeback in October... I just wanted to talk about it to see if I'm the only one in the fandom. Well, I have a friend who thinks the exact same way. Maybe my feelings will change, but for now, I really can't like the album that much. But I'll still support them 🙂💚
