I was there and they had a surprisingly large crowd for a Thursday 5pm show. Usually Thursday is the least attended day at Lolla. They are very popular. People were excited and singing along. But the crowd leaving after their set is not proof of anything. There was no one on that stage for an hour after New Jeans, so everyone leaves to either go see another artist on another stage or get something to eat/drink.

the way they can make the whole crowd sing to every song (even hurt !!) just shows how much power newjeans have. newjeans is truly remarkable im so so proud of them 😭❤️‍🩹 also the video had noise cancelling but if u watch the fancams the crowd was even louder (especially omg and supershy) .. it was so amazing

It shows how the western perspective can easily sexualize innocent intentions. The song was widely loved in korea, until people acclimated to the western culture brought up its double meanings. From their perspective - its obvious, but because newjeans hasn't had any other cases of sexual innuendo, I hope people give the song a second chance and respect the intended meaning.
