Im confused - you say you couldn't afford to open water gunboat before without the range mod, but you spend the whole game shooting at a Hindenburg and Amagi within the Kleber's stock range?

Man, everyone has trouble hitting really fast DDs at range. Especially when they're actively maneuvering. You did as well as pretty much anyone, under the circumstances. Not sure that the DM's better reload would have helped you much considering how much slower the shell velocity is compared to the Hindy.

Should I be honest? As the former Kleber player I had to point out that if CV would decide to sink you, he will do this, and no matter whether is it VIII or X tier CV (your match was exceptional). Another downside is that if you attempt to utilize unique commander ability by capturing cap it is rather much more common that you will encounter enemy DD that will pop up smoke and reveal your position to starving cruisers that more often will shrink you despite dmg saturation. Playing Kleber was focused on ambushing enemy cruisers when situation was allowing for that move (enemy DD's far away, dead, or your Kleber remained unspotted "rotfl") but now it is obsolete since Kleber's penetration sucks at longer distance and this stupid concealment narrows significantly the time window for destroying target before he adjust angle properly. If you will not make it quick enough, then death is inevitable. In my opinion it is gesture towards russian bias, where dump smolensk players were getting annihilated or moskva and stalingrad were YOLO'ed in hand to hand contact. What I expect, is that Marceau (if will be release) will get the old Kleber concealment and will be for steel. Exactly the same sad end of Alsace where main battery got nerfed, and Bourgogne shown up...

I think although RPF is beneficial for assassination, it alerts the enemy (located) at the same time. Therefore RPF is more towards a defensive skill (for torp boat such as shima) IMO. But I also believe there are many players didn't know the meaning of "located" LOL

I love French DDs. When played right they can help the team. If you have 6 of the enemy shooting at you, they are not shooting your teammates, and those 6 can be shot at by you team. Going fast all the time helps with you survival. Some WoWS players do not understand how French DDs are to be played.

Well yeah now wg made it very clear this is the only way to play them but honestly its just russians all over again now and for me its hard to think that was the initial purpose of the line when it came out. But the thing is if the gameplay is so boring and passive why would you want to play it? For me the kleber right now is worse than the russian dds as the russsians have atleast some survivability against carriers and kleber....in all honesty does not.

Failing to adapt to Mogador at the moment, had a blast surprising stuff in my Fantasque but can't do the same stuff in its bigger sister. So I guess I will try your build and see if it is worth it, runs something similar on my Grozovoi with range to compensate for skipping Concealment Expert and if this is similar gameplay on steroids I might find it more suitable than forcing the ship into something it can't do any more.

@@fideljok I know what cool down is, but Notser uses it in a way that doesn't seem to always make sense given the context. See, for example at 6:36 -- "I'm still firing on cool down" -- no consumables are on cool down. Is it another way of saying "I'm firing my guns as fast as possible"?

Now torps are almost useless after the nerf. You want to HE targets and set them on fire? Daring is better, Just fire from smoke. Also you can cap, torp, yo have hydro and heal.

Daring cannt spam HE from 18km, Kleber can. Just stick to AA cruiser and you are fine

@@kikekike2558 wrong. Daring wouldn't be able to do what he did here. Team died, he run and gunned them down. Speed makes him dodge bullets. Smoke wouldn't have helped you at all hence no spotting anymore

You wait till the bbs shoot and then countdown to how long itll take until they shoot again and smoke before that. spam the time of the smoke as the dpm is hugely better than klebers and the firechange in my own opinion is better too. But the difference to kleber in this situation...you can actually use your torps and stay close enough to them that you hit them. In this game daring would have been alot more better than kleber. As in a dd...cause now kleber is only bit more shallow cruiser. ITs really bad and boring and useless to play dd like that. And the reload booster is almost useless in this type of play that is suggested in the video...bad...so bad

@@jonathan.w1498 And one more thing...he didnt gun them down. he set some fires and ticked his damage up with damage that enemy probably healed right back. There was no one else that could use those changes there and the most contribution he did there was draw fire on him...the damage he did is very mediocre chip damage that in the end...doesnt really have any significant meaning other that make your numbers look better. Kleber doesnt have dpm as smolensk and other stuff that can do significant damage by themselfs even with only fires and spam.

So in essence, you have adapted by playing it like a slightly better Khaba...sorry man but I find this type of gameplay boring. The assassination gameplay was something new and way more fun and I do not believe that it was that broken. After 5 years of playing this game I dropped it recently because its clear to me now that WG is balancing the game based on the needs of their Russian players. I really enjoy your videos in general but I have to disagree with you on this one. Have a good day!

@@arthurblackburn5851 kleber is a gunboat you dont need conceal or rpf, he spent all game shooting anyway making conceal irrelevant, expert marksmen is such a terrible skill for a dd gaining 1 second of traverse time but missing out on massive AR boosts, not having aft and bft means having to take range mod instead of reload so you miss out on alot of dpm. This build is just restricting the ships abilities trying to play kleber like something its not, if you want an "assassin" play a daring which has usable concealment, but i wouldnt ever recommend playing dd like "assassins".

​@@notaidan4451 He doesn't really benefit from RPF or CE in this match. Concealment is obviously irrelevant much of the time because he's spotted from the firing penalty. Kleber also outspots cruisers and battleships with or without CE, so it doesn't matter against them. He doesn't stealth torp either. RPF *looks* like it's useful when he hunts down the Kagero, but if you pay closer attention RPF wasn't necessary there. The detection indicator is enough to tell that the Kagero is north of the E5 island (if it were south of the island, Notser would go unspotted moving east), and Notser can guarantee spotting the Kagero by staying within 5.4 km of the island.

@@notaidan4451 im sorry but what a not thought through comment. Did you even watch the video/read the comments above? A few das after kleber nerf I went withe exactly this build, why? Because it's the only consistent one. You can solo hold a flank like a Henri and smolensk (run and gun while they push and have 1-2 fires on 3-5 ships. You can't play the kleber like you used to before anymore, hence longer range IS A MUST.

Wow you catch ships on fire so much hell I don't get that many fires and I use the signals "must be streamer RNG" given by WG Devs 😒 How come ya took BFT instead of Superintendent? BFT gives you like 0.30 of a second on reload that's not much of a difference so wouldn't taking Superintendent be a lot better giving you a 5 reload boosts and 4 speed boosts ?
